  3. Super Smut Styley Stratocaster.....SRV replica?
  4. OK! How do you print the plans on paper in real size????// there is no button in turbo cad that magically does this, so can you please tell me how can enlarge the drawing to realllife size? thanks
  5. ok i ask them to print it for me...but can't i do that at home? or do you mean ask them to print a HUGE copy...real size? (i think that would cost more than 3 dollars) actually it wouldnt cost more, it might but no more then 10 dollars, the reason you have white pages coming out is because the drawing is square so its the parts that have nothing drawn on them that come out blank. how do i make just the guitar print?
  6. i have the same thing... i did the thing that was said....went to options and such....chose metric... it said that it's full size 1:1 i tried printing, but like you said about 10 blank pages came out...how do i do this??
  7. ok i ask them to print it for me...but can't i do that at home? or do you mean ask them to print a HUGE copy...real size? (i think that would cost more than 3 dollars)
  8. so i downloaded that tele CAD drawing...but i guess im not very good with the program as ive never seen it before... the only thing that that drawing is useful for, is the SHAPE of the body... so how do i make it so its REAL full size? can i somehow make it bigger in the cad program itself, and the print it on many pieces of paper?
  9. damn...i thought so... but then it kind of looked like a drill, so i thought it was for something else... another question...can i do that without a router?? or is it just going to take much longer?
  10. i've been reading alot of stuff about guitar making and it seems like this router is one of the most important tools... what is it used for? dont say "for routing" please
  11. you think getting the official tele bridge would be wise? will i see the difference?
  12. I just realized that i forgot to post the link... "this" is this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...3731869771&rd=1 sorry
  13. i want to make a tele, and was going to put in a fixed bridge, no tremolo... should i just go for something like this? because i wanted to have a humbucker anyways...and this way i can just cut it out like a template... would this be the way to go?
  14. maybe someone can help me... i thought there would be more than just one picture or is that somehow enough? i mean how do i use this thing??
  15. ok didnt notice the programs availiable for download...
  16. ok what the hell is CAD... how do i obtain a program that opens those files basically
  17. he really is a great guy... i just dont see how 2 pieces of wood can be GLUED to each other and the tension of the strings is not breaking apart the guitar
  18. welcome to the forum.... check out the search feature on the forum...alot of info there on all you ask i pretty much did...there are like 15 pages...but none answered my Q's
  19. ...what's a guitar? no no not that new. but i just recently got interested in building my own guitar and i have no idea where to start. its going to be a telecaster body...the neck im buying because it is too hard to make. ok so some of these questions will sound stupid but i'll give it a go anyways: 1) in most of tutorials that ive seen, 2 pieces of wood are shown, and they are glued together to form the body...i dont understand that...explain why glue 2 pieces...i thought its supposed to be SOLID. 2) choosing wood...let's say i choose maple...can i get a piece from a hardware store? or is this wood supposed to be purchased from special dealers. so what im wondering about is if the wood somehow special, or has been specially treated in order to be suitable for guitar making. 3) how do i make the body the same size as the telecaster? i dont think you eyeball it right.? do you trace? are there specific measurements online? how does this work? also a question that probably fits here as well is all the measurements such as bridge positioning and the cuts for the pickups, etc etc. ok so after making a complete fool out of myself i shall wait for answers.........or comments like "****ng NOOB, like OMG, LOLOLOLOL" either way
