  1. That's one fine looking family you got there
  2. Are those...um...real? She's only 17, I think. They sure grow 'em different now than they did back when I was 17. Must be the steroids in the Chicken McNuggets or something.
  3. Hi, all. I've read the forum for a while as a guest, and have found tons of helpful topics. This is a great board, and the members seem very knowledgeable. I've been playing for almost 30 years, and have only recently decided to venture into doing my own guitar projects. My first project was a Jay Turser cheapie I got from eBay. I yanked out the Chinese stuff, and replaced it with a DiMarzio Tone Zone in the bridge, and an Air Norton in the neck. I installed a cocentric pot for volume and tone, and routed the body for a recessed Floyd. After that I came across a 20 year old Axstar by Ibanez in dire need of TLC. It still had the original prototype Gotoh 1086 double locking tremolo, and the pickups seem to ohm out well. It's in a thousand pieces now, awaiting me to get the time to finish it. It will be my shred baby upon completion. Anyways, just wanted to shout out to y'all, and give you props on such a fine board. Later, Fleabyte
  4. Mine's just a pic of my latest ink. Although not as good as some of the fine female specimens I have seen used, but I still had to vote for it. I'm a noob, sue me.
  5. can you post pics...? i used to have a really insanely shaped ibanez and i have never been able to find one since and i don't know what the model was called mine is in pieces, and I don't have a card for my digital camera, but here is a pic of one like it:
  6. I am currently working on an old Axstar by Ibanez. I searched several spray can manufacturers, and decided to go with hobby paint. Boyd's has some really wicked colors available, I'm using pearlescent grape with pearl black leading edges. So far I am pleased with the results. The paint tends to be somewhat translucent, so I put down a base coat of dupli color black metallic first, then painted the leading edges with the pearl black, and then started spraying the pearl grape. There's still much work to do, sanding and what not, but I am pleased with the application.
