Hi, all. I've read the forum for a while as a guest, and have found tons of helpful topics. This is a great board, and the members seem very knowledgeable. I've been playing for almost 30 years, and have only recently decided to venture into doing my own guitar projects. My first project was a Jay Turser cheapie I got from eBay. I yanked out the Chinese stuff, and replaced it with a DiMarzio Tone Zone in the bridge, and an Air Norton in the neck. I installed a cocentric pot for volume and tone, and routed the body for a recessed Floyd. After that I came across a 20 year old Axstar by Ibanez in dire need of TLC. It still had the original prototype Gotoh 1086 double locking tremolo, and the pickups seem to ohm out well. It's in a thousand pieces now, awaiting me to get the time to finish it. It will be my shred baby upon completion.
Anyways, just wanted to shout out to y'all, and give you props on such a fine board.
Later,
Fleabyte
