Guitar fetish makes some decent pickups at a decent price
-
Personaly I think the market for 3d printed guitars is gonna be very lumited. Guitarist like to argue over tone wood way too much. Your best market here would be parts like pickgaurds pickup rings and covers, knobs
Just my thoughts
-
Befor I did that I would use inserts with bolts

There are somewhere around 484826841 parts supplyers and brands out there. I have found for low buck decent stuff i like guitar fetish
Different placements does make a differnece, that why some have multiple pickups so they can have the best of both worlds. Typically you wont have to change the controls with just a pickup swap but you can if you want.

Im gonna have to agree with curtis new pots plus new jack is cheaper and on the end you willl probably. Have a better quality setup
-
It doesnt help u much but i havr found playing with very thin shims on a bolt neck to change the angle can help. It doesnt take much of a shim either im talking thick paper at the top or bottom of the neck pocket.
Like i said it doesnt help you since all your guitars are set neck

Do ya have any pics maybe it can be saved

Ok i was thinking more along the lines of getting zapped some how.

I cant imagine there being a problem with a common ground.

I have to say it agian amazing work. You may not be a prolific builder but your builds are always top tier.
I always kept hoping you would find a way to incorporate some of your carving skills in one
-
I would do a light binding
-
as far as i know the only thing you can do is get them for copy right infringement you own the rights to the photos you took and have control over there usage.
you might try watermarking your photos from this point forward. and create your own site might help.
good luck

dude not to hijack the thread but that sounds like it would be a awesome guitar. toss some big ole p90's in there and a bigsby it would be sweet.

Any updates bubba?

Scott i always love your attention to details like the recessed strap buttons.
-
i would say its just up to condition, if its in good shape just throw some inexpensive tuners on it i would do it.
-
I like japfenfans suggestion.
-
im glad you found asound your happy with
Yeah leo was a radio repair man he got a reputation for amps after building some amps for local musicians and it took off from there
-
thats a wonderful thing that you and your family did today, i cant imagine how hard it was to make that decision. My father received a kidney it only lasted about 4 years but it added a lot of great quality to his life and probably a few years. I know it doesnt seem like much but you have given 4 people and there families a great gift that words cannot express.
-
Im very sorry to hear that, your family will be in my prayers
-
let me give you my $.02 if its worth that much
your chasing tone from the wrong end. start with your amp and work your way back to the guitar. start by finding a decent amp im not saying drop a grand on a fender twin but find a amp that will alow you to get that vintage rock sound then get some good effects after that then try tweeking your guitar for the perfect sound.

Dont waste your money on $100 caps it's just more voodoo get the cheapies and put your money where it will dp some good

Nice mill work. I would probably just use some bondo to fill it. Others may suggest some kind of purposed wood filler either way after its filled painted and the pickgaurd is on nobody will ever know
