  1. The recordings will mostly for fun and to play around with basic stuff just to get a taste of it really. Also, so we can jam and record a couple of things so we can work on them on a later date.

We could mic up the guitars in one of the out-buildings or stables. Infact, we were going to turn the old practice room (double garage) into a little area we can record things, but what would be the best way to record, a computer or a recorder?

  2. Ok...i've just read through this topic (yes all 11 pages O_O) and i'm a little confued.

I'm on a budget of lets say £1000 (roughly $2500) . Now, i have the PC which can handle the software etc. but...what hardware would you suggest i should look into getting. I will be recording a full band (drums, guitar, vocals, etc.) I just want something that won't make the recordings sound muddy and...well...flat.

Sorry if this had been asked but...like i said, i am slightly confused at all the information and hardware...

  3. Ok...i want to change the pups on my Epi 7 string to something more Rock and Roll...i was thinking about going SD? Any suggestions?

The next problem is the D string on my V keeps breaking all the time. Even if i play it lightly? It always breaks down at the bridge end. Its a standard TOM and it goes through the body. Any ideas on why this might be happening?

    Thanks!

PS. I couldn't decide where this should go so i put in it here, please move it if its in the wrong place!

  4. I agree with marksound, whatever im playing with, or playing thru, i still sound like i sound. I can give my Guitar, amp and effects to someone, they wont touch the knobs or anything, thele sound differant to me, all because of there playing style, its differant to mine.

    Totally agree here.

The hardest thing i think to do is try and copy someone elses sound. The best thing to do imho is find your own sound.

  5. If you let her go, you can start a new. Also, i've found that things as a child are never as good as you think they are when you are an adult.

I'll try and explain...When you are a kid play certain games on old consoles seem hella fun. When you are older you see them, buy them play them for a few hours and its never as good as you remembered.

The choice is yours i guess...

  6. Have you checked out Here they might have something you are looking for in your price range.

I don't mind Floyd Rose' bridges, infact i have one on my Kramer (7 string) and that thing can take a beating and a half and stay in tune, then again, so does the TOM on my V. The only bridge i don't like are the Vintage Fender styled trems...*shudders*
