I recycle some parts, but a few resistors, caps and diodes etc will only cos about £1/$2.
-
And also, they're not active pickups
Which pickups are you talking about?
Active pickups are usually covered with the covers we were talking about painting over. It was just a harmless dig at the actives, that's all.
Not all active pickups have those "EMG styled" covers.

Just ordered some more stuff for my "home studio". Got an email saying it was be prepared, then another email saying part shipping and had all the stuff i ordered. Today, i get an email saying that one of my items won't arrive until the middle of June. Sometimes, i think its jsut as easy to pay the extra and get it in a store >_<

You decided what speaker you are going to put in there yet?
-
Anyone have any suggestions for Monitors?
-
They are based in the UK, so might not have a French site/distributor. They must ship internationally though, cos you can buy a catalogue.
-
You tried www.maplin.co.uk?
Might be a bit too expensive ordering from the UK though. Is there nowhere on the continent you can order from (Germany, perhaps)?
-
I just built myself a Gilmour 1/2watt kit. I'm on getting parts together for a 5e3 for my next project.
-
I would usually go:
Guitar > Tuner > EQ > Metal Core > Noise Suppresser > Amp
But you can hook them up anyway you feel they sound best.
-
Online tabs are wack.
Ever notice they all seem to have been prepared in 1996? And the vast majority are so far off that they're unplayable? I've always suspected there's a massive conspiracy behind all that. A Scientology thing, maybe.
XD!

That is awesome. Love it. Good job man.

Whats the DOD Punkifier like? I was eyeing one of those up the other day....
-
I missed off the Planet Waves Tuner pedal from my list, but to be honest that thing sucks.
-
If we are talking about recording equipment as well, then i have a few pieces lying around.
I only have so many pedals because they are usually really cheap on the bay and i just think "meh, why not, if its crap then its only a couple of quid wasted".
-
Worryingly enough, i'm only currently using the Digital Delay, Analogue Delay and the Wasabi and Ibanez Chorus!

Early Queen, Brian May built his own guitar with his dad and used that. Apparently he had a choice of either going into building guitars or staying in Queen.

I have some Vintage 30s in an open back, but they just don't seem to be what i'm looking for. What wuld you recommend for someone who plays rock and a little metal?
-
Closed back generally results in more bottom end...good for metal, but too mushy for good cleans..(in my experience)
There ARE exceptions....but not alot....The speakers you mentioned fit right in the "not alot" category.
Wes, what spekers do you use for the music you play?
-
I play 7 string guitar. I picked one up cos my favourite band of the time used them. I play all sortf of music, but its mostly poprock and i just love how the 7 string sounds in that type of music. I'm probably not using it to its "full potential" but i'm happy so, there you go.

After looking at both the boards and cases, i had an idea. I'm wondering if i could somehow have one pot on one side of the lever and put the other on the other side. Or have them both on the same side and just rotate the wires on the Wah pot for it to work properly. Make sense?
-
Can you link me to a pot i COULD use? I'm having trouble finding any (ones that will fit a wah pedal anyway).
-
Yeah, i was thinking that. I was thinking about modding the bottom to end up looking slightly like a Morley. I'll take both the pedals apart tonight and see what i can with the space.
So, you think a Dual pot is needed...hmmm
-
I'd take off the base plate and just have a look around and see if anything has come loose. Are you any good with the soldering iron cos you might need to do a repair job.
Check the footswitch and the input/output jacks also the powersupply jack. If you are confident you could take the circuit board out and see if anything looks suspicious.
