  1. I'm waiting for a set of Curtis Novak pickups for my MIM Strat. I'll let you know. :D

For some reason I read that as Chuck Norris and thought it was another joke. :D

    Haha, same here!

My new drugs of choice are a DiMarzio Blaze neck and a Tone Zone in the bridge. Nicest pickups i've used so far.

  2. Sort of. I have a Dunlop Variphase pedal which is essentially built into a Wah casing, so my theory is, i could use a wah case and circuit board with the phaser circuit board in one casing and turning them on at the same time exactly the same wah you would turn on a normal wah pedal.

  3. I was trying to explain to a drummer why it's so much fun playing guitar instead.... :D

I've always been curious about the Sitar Swami...read a lot of harsh reviews about it. Still, the concept's pretty cool.

Yeah, i was VERY disappointed with it. Nothing like i was expecting, but never mind!

I'm a bit of a guitar pedal freak at the moment! I just love collecting weird and wonderful pedals! If i find anything else that has weird sounds i'll post it in here!

Also, do you use a power supply for your pedals or run them on batteries, i ask cos the Digitech Synth Wah eats batteries for breakfast and brunch!

  4. I dunno what the Boss Slow Gear is? But the Dano is like the Digitech DigitalDelay on reverse, except with the Dano you can JUST have the reverse signal coming through instead of the forward signal as well.

The DanElectros i have aren't mini pedals, but i think i've seen the mini ones. Didn't know they were plastic though, thought they were metal.

  5. I have a DanElectro back talk delay. Thats quite good for making your guitar sound like a violin. Most of the DanElectro pedals i've got/seen have really thick metal casing. Its the newer FAB pedals they've released that are plastic.

Still, i can't complain, i like the behringer ones and they must have about £2 worth of plastic in their casing!

  6. i do listen. and just because one of my guitars had a small problem doesnt mean that all of my guitars are trash and i shouldnt waste good wood because they arnt good enough. its people like him that make others not even care to post. wich is what im going to do now. no more progress threads.

Earlier in the thread you said:

but i made the whole neck taper a little thin, and it might be too thin for the string spacing. if it is, i will end up wasting the neck and the body, and will have to start from scratch with nothing, wich will take months before i can build again. i hate that i can never do anything right the first time no matter how long i take my time or anything.

Which indicates to me that you encounter problems quite a bit.

I'm not putting you down, i think you're very talented, but you need to learn to take time and listen to advice being given, or plan twice as hard next time.

  7. The Stereo jack shouldn't make any difference as long as they wired the tip and sleeve up right.

Have you got a Mulit Meter handy you can test everything with? Failing that you could start again and wire in one pickup at a time and see if you can get it working that way. Then start to add the other pickup and 3 way selector switch?

  8. I've been reading up on these lately and i'm tempted to get one (if i can find one in the UK) has anyone here got one or tried one? If so what are they like?

What other products on the market are like this? I'd do a search but i'm not quite sure what i'm looking for. I know the Hotplate is sort of like it, but i'm liking the idea of the emulated speakers for recording direct, but something that would allow 150watts would be even better (means i can buy a louder amp without needing to buy earphones for my neighbours).

    Cheers

  9. I've just recently bought myself a few new mics and preamp. 3 new Shure SM57s and a Shure Beta58A for vocals, which now run into a Focusrite Octopre LE into my 1010. I use Tracktion 3 now as well. Haven't had a chance to test these out to their fullest yet, but i'm sure as hell looking forward to it.
