I think this topic has gone from the Behringer Ultragain (which does actually use the tube, it just doesn't drive it like a guitar amp would drive a tube) to pretty much every product that has a "fake" tube. I suppose in this case ignorance is bliss.

i was lookin around for effects pedals with tubes in them and came across this rack device with a tube in it, when i decided to google it i found this page :

im pretty shocked that they would add Led's behind the tube to make it look like its glowing... im wondering if anyone else employs this tactic in their valvey effects :S

I can't really blame them. Most musicians are idiots when it comes to what is good and what isn't good in equipment. If they put a tube in it, but ran it at low enough current to not have it glow like a lightbulb, people would be disappointed because we've been taught that tubes glow when in use. The tube in the Behringer is still in the signal path. They just decided to add LED's to make up for it's lack of visual oompf.

I totally agree with this.

I use a lot of Behringer stuff and i can't complain with it. It does what is says well, while keeping the price down.

I just got a Laney TT50H about 3 weeks ago and all of a sudden its started to hiss and makes buzzing noises. I've tried a different lead and checked all the connections, buts its still doing it. I've tried it in a different room in my house, with different guitars and on al of the channels. The weird thing is, when the volume is on 0 (so no sound from the axe can be heard) its still there. Anyone got any ideas on what it might be? Or will it be easier to just e-mail the company i bought it from?

If it is 58k i'd say you have little to no chance of ever getting a clean sound out of that. What happens when you turn the guitar volume down? Also what make pickups are they?

I was tempted to get one of these pedals, but wasn't sure they would be any good. I think now i will add one to my collection!

I don't use a mixer at all...well not a hardware one. Have you tried your sound settings incase its disabled the mic input?

I've been looking at some 1x12" cabs. I'm thinking about getting one from Award Session, they look cheap, but are meant to be really good.

^Yeah, thats where i first saw them. They also have the Laney Head which is a bonus.

Cool man. No rush though cos i won't be getting the amp for a while. Are all guitar related things cheaper in France, or is this just a one off?

I think the cheapest i've seen them for here is about £100ish, but i don't know anyone who is going to france, although my girlfriend lives in the south and i think i day return to France is something like £10. Where abouts in France are you?

They are really cheap over here too. I know one other person who has one and he seems to like it a lot. I'm not going to be getting the Laney for a couple of months so by then i might of changed my mind about the cab and laney. How heavy is it?

Has anyone got one of these? If so what are they like for Rock/Metal? Also, i was looking at the Harley Benton 2x12/4x12 cabs. I know these are really cheap, but i've heard good things about them, can anyone fill be in on what they are like?
