  1. i dont believe anyone has made one.
  2. I dont want to open a new post for this but ive always wondered if ive understood this correctly. The bridge height means how far the bridge sits off the guitar when the threaded posts are down as far as they can go right? So that means like a recessed floyd would have no bridge height because it sits flush with the guitar?
  3. Do you guys cut ur angles with routers? or by like sanding/files?
  4. Got the jem body sanded with 60 today, the neck up to 100, tomarrow i am gonig to glue the truss rod in the jem neck. Im use a different truss rod this time then i did on my first gutiar, what do u guys use to glue ur truss rods in? On the hot rod i used bath tubb silicone, but this is a different truss rod should i use the same stuff?
  5. Enter Sandman by metallica? Its a classic and i think everyone should know it. I played this with my high shcool guitar band in my sophmore year, as soon as you hit the opening riff the crowd goes wild. Also it extremely easy to the point where once u learn ur parts u know them and dont think about it, also i enjoyed playing the solo, gots tons of wah, or maybe the national anthem? get crazy with it people enjoy that.
  6. I started playing guitar freaks before i played gutiar and to tell u what it actually helped me. There is a lot of rythem required in these games so when it came time to pick up a guitar i had a really fair since of rythem already. It also helped me get my fingers strong and helped a little with switching fingers, only problem on guitar freaks where was only 3 buttons so my pinky got left out which a big reason why i negleated it when i first started playing, but practice change that.
  7. well the holes for the tom post arent drilled yet... I hope im okay
  8. Wow someone really ripped off guitar freaks. When my brother went to japan a few years back he brought home this game called guitar freaks that was made by konami and it was an only in japan type thing. The game was actually really fun, you had a mock guitar with three colored buttons that you pushed down and it was like dance dance revolution where arrows would come up the screen but instead of arrows it was little colored markers and when it go to a certain point you'd press down the corrisponding color and press down a little bar thing that was called the strummer. The cool thing about the game was all the music was actually made by a dude playing guitar. So when u played a song it sounded like u were actually playing guitar and not a synth gutiar or something computer made. I still have the game and two guitars i can take pics of u guys want, to tell u the truth it game is actually hella adicting and fun. In all honesty i think im going to pick this up because its something im so familar with and i work at a game store so i get 15 percent off Edit: just looked at the website they have some really cool tracks on this, im definitly gonna pick this up, in all honest it think u guys would have fun if u did too, dont knock it till u try it
  9. Okay, well mine is an AANJ, I took apart my Esp KH 202 to look at the neck joint and they used duck tape as a shim... Yeah i didnt realize duck tape could be use for that. But then again u know what they say duck tape can fix anything lol. What do u guys do to get your angle? Do it with a router? also what do u guys use for shims?
  10. well the trem is on the jem, which already has a 24 fret fretboard. The v has a tune o matic on it, which had a 22 but will now have a 24 on it.
  11. Well im about to cry.... I was working on my guitars tonight when i came inside and started showing my dad somethings, then he noticed something i didnt (please dont ask how i didnt catch this, or what i was doing when i did it) but i rounded my neck to far back for it to to connect to the body correct. I should have left more of a tenon, its really hard to explain, basicly where the fretboard ends, its rounded over so it wont connect to the body . So what im going to have to do is order a 24 fret fretboard and put new leds in it, which will allow me to use the same neck and have everything come out perfect. As upset as i am, im not to mad because this will allow me to go a different direction with this project, which i wanted to go but was to late. So a few things are going to change. I will have 24 frets instead of 22, and i didnt like the white binding as much as i thought i was going too so im going to use a natural flame binding which i think will fit this project much better then the white. Also where do u guys get ur wood bindings at? ill keep you guys posted... Also i have the other fretboard for anyone would be interested in buying it. Its 12" radius, 22 fret and green leds installed.
  12. Dont know how many ppl live in cali, but my brothers buddy did some research and found out its actaully legal to paint ur car on your property twice a year in californa lol, fun little fact.
  13. The onely real thing i can think of is some serious stratigic taping off of the neck, idk other then that man...
  14. Well, my shop teacher shot my other guitar, we use nason products (dupont). Is that a two part? I thought i was because we had to thin it down. He had a free air mask cause thats all he had at the time. He has been spraying for a long time and said that he just recently got the free air system, and before that he used the resperator system. Im not trying to start conflict here, im just curious what all i need before getting started, im only 17 and dont have a lot of money at the moment which is why i was asking about the resperator.
  15. whats the difference between two part polys and regular polys? Also u need that heavyduty of a mask when ur spraying outside in a very open area?
  16. sand it up to 2000 grit like i did lol then u wont feel them...
  17. do u primer, paint, and clear with the 1mm or do u switch between them?
  18. I think i found tha kit im gonna give a try. Its this one. Has three guns and a cleaning kit, i can use the touch up gun for doing one guitar and the bigger guns for doing many. I will be prolly about a month before i buy this, so still keep the sugesstions coming. One i get it and spray i will let you know how it holds up.
  19. LGM, i was going to spray in my back yard/side of my house, lots of open area and ventlation. As far as a mask goes i was going to use one that two cartrages that are inter change able, is this going to be good enough? If not how much does a system ur talking about cost? BTW, making sure i have this right, 2 part polys are car paint with a primer, color then clear right? with a hardener added to it?
  20. Well freaking crap that does me no good lol. I plan on having new projects going into production by the begining of the year... hopefully everything is back up and running again... Oh well i guess i could just make my 7 string prototype i thought of last night.
  21. Well did some searching and this is what i came upwith. Is this what u got? also what tip width is best i believe jermy you said 1.3mm in ur painting tut and question section, should i get a few different sizes?
  22. So all i would need is an 8oz can gun? Or should i get a bigger one just incase? Also james what brand is urs?
  23. That link just opens up the main page.... I went and looked around though, is ur gun made by campbell? Originally if i bought a gun i was gonna save some money and get a devilbiss cause i heard they make really good ones. Anyone tried one of theirs?
  24. Well, im not made of money, so any good suggestions, if i were to buy a new gun, what would i want? What is good for begininers.... All i plan on shooting is 2 part poly's, and im really sure that my brother cleaned his gun really clean. I noticed that when my shop teacher shot my first guitar, he didnt use two guns and he has been doing it for years, i guess that is jsut a personal preference?
