  1. I used all the info from this site: http://members01.chello.se/pastorn/fx/mods/dunlop.htm what did u mean by "oh and is it orientated the right way? i mean so not sideways?" ???
  2. update: I got the board modded and was getting ready for the LED but then i ran into a problem. when i hooked up the led with the resistor it would either be on at all times when the pedal had a cable pluged in or when the pedal was off. i want to get it so the LED lights up when the pedal is on. my bother said that i managed to reverse the polaritys then went into a huge lesson about that and confuesed the crap out of me. any ideas?
  3. The body is so SWEET, and that head stock reminds me of the explorer i rebuilt with the revese head stock. also the matching truss rod cover sets it all off. keep up the good work!!!
  4. here is the link for the studs: http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Bridges,_tailp..._and_Parts.html back when i needed them they didnt sell them (that or i didnt look hard enough ).
  5. from what i know they are not required but do make things a lot smoother. as far as buying them i didnt have any luck finding them so i made them on a lathe. I know most of us dont have a lathe in out shops but they are possible to make without one but they will not come out as clean.
  6. thanks for the help, another thing i wondering after reading ur post is how else could you mod these (what else could you do to em)?
  7. I have a Dunlop GCB-95 original crybay. i was wondering if there was a way to hook up a LED so when its on the LED lights like on the higher end modles.
  8. i have a change to buy one of the two amps listed for almost the same price. the only problem is i dont know witch one. I would try em out but my uncle has them both in mexico. well what do all you think? im into the old bands of the 80s like metallica, slayer, megadeth and others among the same kind of music.
  9. thanks for the info. i didnt know what it was called so i put chassis.
  10. i have an empty Amp Chassis that use to be a crate GFX20 combo. it has room for a single 10 inch speaker. also includeds all the corner plastice things, grill, and the two top bolts only for the handle. this would make a gread project i am open to offers and am willing to trade for a 24 fretted fretborad. i have pics, email me if u wanna see em.
  11. Thats comming out nice!!! Very nice and clean work, keep the pics comming.
  12. so i wraped the strings the wrong way? i think its amazing since i converted a normal headstock to a revese but yet i cant seem to do something as simple as restring a guitar as far as the covers they seem a bit expensive for my taste. i think i might make em on a CNC machine so i can say i made them. are there any types of metals that would work best?
  13. thanks all for all your kind words. would putting on a string tree make much of a diffrence? As far as what metal matt said i like his idea of the black cover. any idea where i can get some? As far as the buyer hes having a tought time getting money together so really the explorer is still all mine. this thing is asome and evil! and the toyal cost was only 256.90 with EVERYTHING ON IT!!!!
  14. finaly after a month of work i have it done. here is the link: http://community.webshots.com/album/247273504WGWFIA
  15. I was wondering if the input jacks on speaker cabs use mono or stereo jack?
  16. thanks for the help. i finaly got it right last night and now i get no fret buzz. idch- i bought the nut pre sloted and when i was about to put it in i cleaned the nut slot just enough to remove the old glue. Maiden69- only the first few frets use to buzz. i tweaked with the truss rod and now it working great. thomasteven- i dont think that the neck angle would be a factor since this is a epiphone goth explorer that already had the angle. Once again thank you all for taking the time to help me out.
  17. as some of you know i recently rebuild a goth explorer and posted my progrees on the progress page. well now that it is done im haveing trouble setting it up right. the person who want to buy it want low action but for some reason i can not get it. when it set up low only the first 3 frets buzz. i was wondering if there was a certain way to set up the tail peace hight and would that even be a factor?
  18. just got it painted and strunged!!! It looked SO nice!!! i wanna get some pics of it tonight if i have time. as far as building it i ran into some eletrical problems. at first the bridge pickup didnt work untill i relized that one of the other grounds was touching it. then the voulme pots didnt work untill i looked over my Jackson"s wireing and found out that there was supost to be a wire from the pot to the toggle. She works really nice now and sounds really good. i was surprised since the pickups were only 40 bucks for both of em brand new. they hold their own agianst my Seymor Duncans. another perk is that its not that heavy at all for being a Mohogany body. my jackson V weighs more.
  19. the ghost flames are not there because he didnt want em. that and it would of been hard to get a decent finish using spray cans.
  20. sorry for the lack of updates, its finals week at my school and ive been getting ready for speaches so i can pass my english class and ive been rewiring my jackson KV4. i finaly go some new pics up: http://community.webshots.com/album/247273504WGWFIA/0 i am so stoked on this explorer and it not even done! me any my friend have no school on friday so we are going to paint the camo that morrnig and hopefully have the thing stringed late in the day or maby wait untill saturday.
  21. almost done!!! over the past days ive been sanding by hand and painting. it looks like a tuxido or something with the black on the back and the white on the front. it look deadly!!! ill post pics as soon as i get my cammera back
  22. litchfield- thanks for the advice, ill keep that in mind for next time. the head stock is solid as jackson KV4. As far as progress ive made none since iv been waiting for parts. heres the list of the parts: black Gotoh style lefty tuners. 1 11/16 nut 2 might might humbers stock pots with black speed knobs no name TOM bridge and tail peice stock input jack and plate. might mite stap buttons. As far as the pick guard we decided to make it out of 16 guage sheet metal since it wont cost us a dime to make! For the truss rod cover we might do something fancy like innitlas or something else on the CNC machine.
  23. litchfield- did that and i sanded to 230 grit. thanks for the tips. i got tuners in today but i cant use em since im still waiting on other parts but untill then i have some catching up to do on the guitar .
  24. i am almost done!!! all thats left is paint. yesterday i sanded the hell out of it and it came out really smooth, then today i drilled the holes, it was an ok job. im going to have to go back and fill some holes but no biggie. Also new pics are psoted: http://community.webshots.com/album/247273504WGWFIA
