  1. Easily gotoh 510's found here Link My friend put some on his jackson neck, they're amazing.
  2. heh maybe for your next project?? LINK
  3. Well one of my favorite sites for parts re opened and i just stumbled upon something great, ferrules for the top of the guitars, not for the bottom. Ive seen people ask where in the world to get some, i dunno if its been answered before. Its right here Top ferrrules Check out the rest of the site, great prices
  4. alright good, i thought i was going crazy there for a second
  5. looks great big d, cant wait till that things clear coated, its gonna be quite pretty. good job
  6. haha im talking about things like the pearl cutter with the "pearl blower". I have nothing at all against stewmac. they're my first source for parts cause they're the only one with parts like this, but we all know some things are a rip. Well I just got back from the hardware store and i got the 2 inch straight bit with a bearing, a 3/8" roundover bit and a forster bit, i just finished making my router table on my workbench
  7. hahaha yeah sure, their schecter s-1 elites. I love them, cant wait to get one, played one at guitar center. I feel schecter has the best bang for the buck. beautiful guitars
  8. fantastic, that body is beautiful. Is it me or is that bridge backwards? lol i dunno it thats just the bridge, but it looks great. I also enjoyed the custom booth. cardboard in a corner...it works
  9. heh i thought the fingerboard looked a little thin too but its the same on the prs template and on my ibanez. (phew). ill try to make that neck when i get neck woods at a appropriate cutting thickness . Hmm i dont have the cash for a moisture meter so maybe nect time i go to the hardwood store, ill ask them if they have one. thanks for the heads up. haha i dont want to have a reputation of hating the delta saw. Just my bad experiences make me sceptical. For the swamp ash and the ash (another project) its cutting fine with a little drifting. Just that I wish i spent a little more for a little more power. Which blades would you recommend cause I can only get these generic type at the stores cause they dont hold anything else.
  10. heh i guess i got a good deal. its held up like a tank. Its fine, the delta isnt TERRIBLE, it just doesnt cut it for 3" wood....heh i know i shouldve tried. but for like 2 inch, it does the job just great . im thinkign of getting the ridgit 3/4 hp band saw.
  11. haha not neccisarily the response i was trying to get but I guess ive got 2 bad eggs in the bunch. My first one lasted literally 30 minutes in total usage. The blade broke first 10 minutes, i dont blame it being a generic one. Than when i was replacing the blade, while tightening not even as tight as they set it, the cast iron snapped off. Pretty mad? Very...due to low budget and not very sceptical, i got another one, im trying to cut my neck and the blade just stops in the wood. Also the regular ol problem of the drifting. I wouldnt suggest it for anything over 2 inches. Just after my little experiences i just dont trust it. Also when i replace my blade, it makes this ticking noise ive never heard. But it does the job when i was cutting this body, and a body im working on right now. Im thinking of being a Ridgid type of person. I got a belt/oscillation sander from them and i would die without it, great value, for like 120. Sorry if ive pissed you off, but the delta got me more riled up .
  12. heh i dont know anything about the leds placements accept when looking at the leg installation tutorial. Why do i have the feeling that scalloping a neck with LEDS already set will be a reallll bad idea? Going about like 5 strokes down and you would hit the light i would think. Thats my thought but i might take that neck before you can
  13. Well i started working on this thing again...I planed the body down to 1 1/2 inches and i took a neck from a special 2 until i get the skill to make my own neck . Well This guitar is going to be a flat top, with the natural binding, black bottom, red dye over black stain top, with a black burst....IF ALL GOES WELL. Heres what is looks like, whoever is reading this, respond with which top you think should go on top. THanks (All tops are wet) First top I drew out a PRS design but the tops too thin Second Top Thanks guys
  14. Well I found some poly in my garage and being broke, i couldnt buy any tru oil so I just polyd the neck and routed out the body for a pickguard. Its very sloppy but i was doing it at 2 AM while everyone was sleeping so i was trying to be short. Ill finish it up in the afternoon. Well heres how things are looking. Thats not a spot that didnt get poly'd. Theres 2 different types of woods on the headstock but it only really shows when the flash goes off Well im going to put a white pickguard S-S-S with a chrome hipshot hardtail from stew mac. Tesla pickups cause i wanna test them out. Thanks Big D again, that semi hollow made routing an easy thing
  15. Well good thing you're okay. Does your insurance pay for that thing or do you have to hunt down the deers family and make em hand over some cash?
  16. well ill check repair costs and if its more than 30 bucks than ill sell it for 20
  17. sweett..probably the only thing from stew mac that has value
  18. Thanks guys, Im thinking of getting a 1/4 and a 3/8 inch roundover bits, a 2 inch long straight bit with the bearing and a couple of forstner bits. Thanks again, add on to what you think i need
  19. haha thats exactly what i worry about. thanks for the input
  20. I got this porter cable laminate trimmer and i realized i need to get rid of it. Its just too depressing to look at. I was building a copy carver (gave up) and I was going to use this as my router. Ed Waliki said i should take the casing off of these things so i tried...apparently thats impossible and something broke will trying to push the motor back into the case. I broke a piece of graphite/lead (i dunno) and a wire was connected to it. Well when i tried to turn it on, this terrible grinding noise started going off. So i just stopped using it. Anyone that wants to fix it, its yours for 40 bucks. Retail for 100. Heres what is looks like Nothing comes with it, no instructions, case. Does come with the base though.
  21. Im getting about 500 dollars, but about 250 is going to my GF's ipod cause her parents are being a jerk. (long story) Well I have 2...yes ill say it again, 2 router bits and its quite embarrasing to say that. I have the truss rod bit and the template bit from stew mac. (bad idea to buy from them). Well which router bits are necessary and may not be so necessary but still its a good think to have. Well thanks a lot, i might get depserate enough to buy like a 50 bit set.
  22. haha also the one i sent, he has specifications and you can order a H-S-H
  23. Hey Im trying to put a pickgaurd on a strat body, but I was wondering if anyone knew where to get a routing sectoin for the 5 way switch and the knobs. THanks
