  2. Hello, I am looking around for pickups to put into my newly aquired guitar body. It is an H/S/S and i was wondering what type of pickups would fufill my needs. For the humbucker, I really like the Duncan Quarter Pounder, but I have no idea on the single coils. I play alot of bluesy stuff so im not looking for anything that sounds bad on the cleaner side. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Jake
  3. My Dream guitar: My Les Paul Smart Wood with the thinner and lighter "The Paul" body and the awesome bubinga top it has on it now. The only thing i would change was humbuckers, i think they are crap but i don't know why cause their gibson stock p-ups. Also id get the switching a little modded with coil tapping.
  4. Hey man, thats really nice. I was just thinking about that today. I was playing my cheap Yamaha and thought how awesome it would look in a metallic. Now i know... It will look great. I also like the additon of the conspiracy of one logo. The only thing i would be concerned about is the edge of the paper cut out it might not dissapear, but it will still rock.
  5. Yeah that site is full of perverts and weirdos, but it does have image hosting (sort of, thank you so much for your help. I have found that a mighty mite fender hardtail bridge will work well. I also have questions about that but im gonna start a new topic. Thanks again for your help
  6. Hello, I recently recived a free guitar body through my mothers job. This will be the first ever guitar i have built and i have at least one question to help me get started. I have no idea what bridge this guitar is routed for and i was wondering if anyone could tell from my diagram or know of any sites that i could use to figure this out. I know that the body is a peavy but i havent been able to find a matching style on their site. Any help would be greatly appreciated. http://www.pahardcore.com/boards/profiles/...ar%20bridge.JPG note:Ibielieve that the dot labled with the red arrow is for grounding
  7. wow... I just wish we had that sort of program at our school. Even if i had time for a wood working class (too much art and music too little time) we make clocks of some sort. All I really wanted to say is great job, it is nice that you can help your students produce things that will always be useful and they will be proud to play.
  8. I was reading once about the beginings of electric guitars and your stories of feed back reminded me of that. The original electrics (know as spanish electrics SE for short) had that same feedback problems. That led to the invention of the solidbody (to stop some of the feed back). I believe that if you tried it it could be a neat project idea but could damage the guitar top through the excessive vibrations. But if you dont care about the guitar why not experiment and have fun.
