  1. Comparable to MM headstock 4/2 design I also like Brian Moore's 2/4 design
  2. Dave La Rue, Tony Levin, Bill Wyman, Flea, Sting, ...
  3. OMG if the sound is half as good as she looks ....uh, Iam speechles
  4. 89' JEM77FP for 300euros, JPM P2 (dead mint) for 550euros, never used RG550 for 250euros in my near past.
  5. Deep Purple ---- June 1 Conegliano (Italy)
  6. I had also some problems last week even if I am on 1mbps link. Last few days work normal for me.....
  7. great.....i like it a lot .....and btw. welcome to the forum

  10. Alex, can you modify for me carved one with these specs: sunbusrst with flames, gold hardware, ebony fretboard with offset pearl dots (between B and E string),matching headstock, two golden covered humbuckers without single coil and body binding (cream or white), gold knobs and 3 way cream switch between neck pup and lower horn. Thanks
  11. How much does this guitar worth?
  12. Completely agree with Alex's words. This great site (including forum) became like soul food for me. I usualy start job at 8am and usually first thing i do is checkin' PG forum. Maybe is not growing fast like jemsite forum for example, but it has tons of useful informations and it is kinda guitar-making-modifying-restoring...bible for me (and I believe that I am not the only one). This site helped me a lot to make decisions with my guitar projects. Everyday something new and exciting. ... Thanks again, Brian
  13. ....during that screen 2 users were active...another reason to move...
  14. Pickups are stock Carvin pickups. They sounds just diferent . I love them. Guitar cost 1026$ with tweed case. Alex: In next few weeks i am planning to do tutorial how to modify tremolo arm with collar to work smooth. It is simple procedure and 100% effective. On Carvin tremolo is good just like Schaller or OFR. Actually carvin uses on 6strings models OFR, on 7-strings model licensed one (but built with very good quality material) . If i'll have sometime another chance to adopt another Carvin i'd go probably with something like DC127 (http://narchy.dreyermachine.com/DSC00176.JPG ) but with wilkinson and piezo or AE185 (http://www.carvin.com/cgi-bin/Isearch.exe?CFG=2&P2=AE185&P1=GTR ) but with different electronics and finish. I had in past about 200-250 guitars. If you balance price and performance Carwin is winner without doubt. I actualy only changed stock strings (damn, now i know i hate Elixir strings). Just like Brian said that playin' Elixir strings is like playing guitar with condoms on hands I agree 100%. Now i have good old D'adarios on it and i'm in 7'th heaven
  15. Check it on http://borut.rudnix.com/carvin.html Oh, I can't put it down Brian thanks, and thanks ...... I recommend to everyone to try these great guitars. They also have kinda custom shop at resonably prices. Perfect company for lefthand players too . If i'd live in USA i'd collect different Carvins instead of JEM's and Universes. Cheaper sport and more different sounds and guitars
  16. Wilkinson is for last few years part of Gotoh company. Hope it helps.
  17. This is same water-based color that i used on previous project. It is actually black, but it looks like gray because it is water based. It is lacquered with high gloss lacquer by friend of mine (in small factory where they builds furniture for kitchens on special order). Playability is great, funny on that guitar is that it is heavy like lespaul, but setup on neck, strings and floyd is more like Jem or Jackson Most on this guitar i like neck humbucker sound. It is deeeeeep (probably because of position (note: 21frets neck) and combination and amount of wood ) Brian: you can get here in Slovenia even Paduak But it is a bit pricey. Example: you can get one piece of paduak wood for about 150$. p.s. sorry for my expression. I'm not good with english language.....
  18. check http://www.rotos.si/rm1 Built from scratch (except neck of course ). Now its time for me to focus more on necks. Any comments?
  19. Again from spare parts laying around Specs: one piece slovenian walnut body oiled with parafine oil maple neck with rosewood board (i've got neck half done for free ) Dimarzio model j pickups (i won them few years ago in local contest) Fender jazzbass style tuners and bridge costed me aorund 15$ trusrod cover is made from broken RG pickguard two volume knobs/passive electronics backplate is also hand made from plastics body is very thin (enough to insert cable jack from front ) Guitar costed me about 30$+my work and most important....I like it. It's like Jazzy Rickenbacker Check pics on: http://www.rotos.si/rb/ Any comments are welcome
  20. Because i'm collecting money for new project, here is FS list. Maybe not interesting for everyone coz' i'm from Slovenia 1.) Ibanez LesPaul Custom from 1976. Some of parts replaced with new (pup covers and rings, knobs, pickguard, tuners). Check it on http://borut.rudnix.com/ib.jpg 2.) Custom handmade guitar made by me (with a BIG help from my friends ) . Specs an pics on http://www.rotos.si/custom 3.) Fender Super Reverb from 1977. All original in very good condition. 4.) 21. Schaller has very good products if you ask me. Their fine products are also used in some of major guitar companies (Hamer, Pensa, Fender and many others)
