  6. so after you cut the scarf you take a band saw or whatever to make it 1/2"...and that would also shorten the scarf a bit am i right? thanks for the drawing
  7. would someone be able to draw a picture on paint about getting the wood the right thickness before scarfing, because the only thing i can make up is seeing the part with the fretboard being 1/4" thicker then the rest
  8. when getting the headstock thickness, using a hand plane sounds good, but should i lay it fretboard first on the table and get the back of the headstock? or go on the top of the headstock?
  9. is it really that complicated to cut and glue some angles? the only thing im not sure about is getting the 1" headstock to the standard size
  10. if you want just the guitar/drums, download winamp then download a plugin called analog X...you can still hear singing a bit but thats the only thing i could come up with

  12. hi, i have read the support part of line 6's website and i cannot get it to work so heres my question. I have Sony Acid Pro (newest one) and i put a cord in the line out of my amp and into my pc sound card. Now i have no idea how to incorperate the two to get them to work. Also, should i be able to hear it through my speakers when im not recording? Thanks, Jordan
  13. i like it, the butt end looks like the virgin
  14. nicr project...if you dont mind me asking, what did the neck through part cost?
  15. i wouldnt think it would be to hard, you just have to take out the two singles, then find a pickguard with double humbuckers. Thats what i would do anyways
  16. i think as long as the rod can turn freely theres no problem (i make my own rods but they have no casing so i have to be careful of not gluing the rod to the channel)
  17. would you be able to put a good fit block of wood in then fill the gaps with wood glue and saw dust? I ask because i JUST filled my project mockingbirds neck pocket with a block of wood and have gaps with no epoxy/bondo on hand, so would wood glue and sawdust work? thanks
  18. so those things when your putting strings in you loosen it up, stick the string through, turn it till its tuned then tighten it? i cant see how good that would work...im obviously msising something
  19. thanks for the explanation i DO however have a shop teacher who somehow knows what he is doing, but i was actually more interested in the Gearless Steinberger Tuners. Any idea on them? thanks
  20. ive been using this lathe with my shop teacher and have learnt lessons. this one can also be set to cut threads (600 threads per inch for example) and i have done threads, i was thinking i could just go deeper then i have...as long as it catches the gear right? and doersnt strip
  21. As most of you know, I have access to a metal lathe and a milling machine. So I was wondering if its possible to make your own tuners? got some questions though such as if i just make really deep threads on the pole like this http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a166/Mar...wavecircled.jpg and where i could fine a small gear like that also, i could make something like this http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a166/MartyrMetal/stien.jpg so oppinions? am i jsut better off to spend $30 on a cheap set?
  22. haha thats awesome, was that a special project for fed ex or what?
