  1. hey, i'm looking for a multi-fx pedal, but pretty cheap...

basically, i want a pedal that has a good expression pedal and some other good effects... i just really don't need any amp modelling and distortion (well, maybe a few dist...)

basically, not a lot of effects, but GOOD ones. And if they where customisable, it would be cool too.

    anyways, what would be good?

    thanks.

  2. ok so i want to change my guitar's pickups...

    its setup is: H/S/S

    controls are:

    -3 on/off switches

-one 3 way switch (not sure what exactly it does)

    -2 tones and 1 vol

now, i'd like to know what pickups would be good and pretty cheap to get... i want the very best possible clean sound and maybe a "metal" bridge humbucker.

i'm also interested in a coil tap for the hum... Do i need a lot of complicated wireing and/or a special humbucker?

    what are my options?

    thank you very much

  3. i'm gonna have to disagree with you there.  My takamine sounds better than any ovation I've ever heard, plugged in or un plugged.

you DO know that takamine is made by the same compagny right?

    Kaman Music Compagny

    oh and btw...

its NOT because a guitar dosen't sound like a regular guitar, or that YOU do not like the sound of it that it sounds bad.

i have an Ovation celebrity deluxe and i can tell you that unplugged or plugged, it can't compare to anything i've heard even for like 200$ more. At least for me.

And for the round back, mine is supershalow and i think its more comfortable than a regular one.

now i admit they do sound a bit more "plastic" but i really dig that sound. And my friend's A/E Ibanez can't even COMPARE to my O for the plugged in sound.

    anyways, just my 2c canadian.

    :D

  4. ok dude try an ovation and think about me.

now don't be put off by its round plastic back. Not many poeple look past that and buy them but i have a (kinda) cheap import one and its very unique. I very much like there look and sound.

    Ovation's Website

i don't know about how costy it is but you MIGHT be able to pick up an Adamas for that price. They have carbon fiber tops... (there the premium line of ovation)

    Adamas' Website

please try an adamas for me... always wanted to do so myself but there's no way ill find these here. :D

  5. i have been on a search for years for a great low cost guitar...it just does not happen.too many corners have to be cut to get that guitar to that price range

look... i got a Spector NS-6c guitar... 87'-90' guitar.... pretty rare guitar but it was cheap. its bascally the bolt on equivalent of other neck thru guitars (would-ve loved a neck thru one!!!!)

    http://www.spectorbass.com/images/modelhis..._gtr_kramer.jpg

just the same as that except is flat body and bolt on... (and white... lol)

    sold $549 at the time...

still, it is plain and simply the best playing guitar i've tryed. just love it... nice floyd rose, some Spector pickups(and one humbucker) that are very good. a floyd rose...

so where have they "cut corners"

only in the bolt on neck. (and the very same guitar but neck thru sold for 100$ more)

now come on... im sorry but if you're not paying for a name you pay MUCH less...

(i mean... a 2000$ gibson/fender is as good as a 1000$ guitar from another compagny...)

oh and to stay on topic... ive heard a warlock, no idea what grade, but the sound was just crappy. Plain and simple. I don't think it was a too cheap one either...

  6. Just get a good piezo saddle...

it'll give you uber sound if you ask me :D

got an Ovation acoustic electric guitar... i can get almost any sound i want with that piezo with the preamp thats in it. I kinda think the preamp might be more important than the pickup B)

anyways... i think a piezo sounds great and should be fairly (if not very very) easy to do :D

  7. My friend has the very same problem...

we live in canada and he, too is building a LP from parts

got his body from fleabay but now i dunno...

there are some nice necks that look perfect from some seller called MagicDragon but he don't wanna get one on ebay

man... he wants to have a local luthier BUILD one... i don't think he understands it'll cost even more than an actual gibson one... lol

anyways anyone could help with that? some shop that would have something of quality??

  8. i actually find singing easyer on fingerstyle songs...

try playing Tears in Heaven (eric clapton) while singing...

and once youre really good try playing Fade to black (metallica).... Damn its fun :D

As Southpa said, just know your song very well and it will all be okay =D

  9. well, i just LOVE doing that...

i mean, im not really a that great player nor a great singer, thoug i have ear so i sing the right notes.

really, the thing is practice... you have to be able to play your song and talk to your friend at the same time AND to be able to sing it while thinking about other stuff...

    gotta be natural :D

try playing bass and singing. one of the hardest things ive ever tried :D

hehe i've actually been able to play californication while singing... man that's hard

    B)
