It looks like it was dyed black, sanded back, dyed dark brown, sanded back again, and then dyed amber, to me, of course.
-
*Watches*
I could use that for my project, y'know.
-
I'd say go for the rods and whatnot. Like Skibum said, better safe than sorry.
Also, 3/4" is the thickness Warmoth's blanks are, so it should work.

Mattia, ALL THE WAY.
Such a beautiful instrument. It makes me smile.
-
I'm not too fond of pointy guitars to begin with, but the bottom-back portion looks way too small.
-
Do the PRS Santana thing, and go with multi-ply binding!
-
As far as I know, you can buy a slightly modified version for just about every tremolo made.
-
Hmm, you could cut that chunk out, and glue a new piece of wood in there, then recut it.
That's why you gotta be careful! :X
-
It's lines, so he has some sort of idea where to put his fingers...
-
Yeah, that's why it shines so, most likely.
-
I think you should let it rub through easy. I love the look of a worn maple fretboard, it looks so cool.
-
I think that looks alot better Matt. It flows better, like you said.
-
Wow, that's gotta be, hands down, the most beautiful guitar I've ever seen (I love natural finishes) though I prefer a wider flame, but that is beautiful.

If you use a 24 3/4" scale, you NEED to use the Les Paul placement, or it will not be intonatable, unless you can move the saddles a quarter inch or so.
-
Look at pictures, and sketch it out on a large peice of paper as close to scale as you can get it, and then refine it until you get it exactly like you want it.
-
P-90s are singlecoils, however, they are not the same size as humbuckers (The REAL ones are, they makes ones that are humbucker sized)
-
You could finish it, like a maple fretboard, and it would probably hold up well enough... I'm probably wrong though.
-
You might contemplate shrinking that down ALOT?
-
Make a guitar out of the Pine AND the Mahogany. ^__^ Then you'd have two custom-made guitars.
-
There's a 12-string epiphone neck up for auction, why not just buy that and make your own?
That's what you're here for, right?
My big issue with 12 strings is that they're a bitch to tune....do they make 12-string locking tuner sets?
Eh, 6 inline for a righty neck, and 6 inline for a left neck.

Should have gotten Black Frets, somehow. And then used Black Hardware. THEN it would be the blackest guitar I've ever seen.
-
Show us the design so we can critique it!

Build one, I say! It's not as hard as it sounds, it just takes some work.

Haha, man, that looks really good. Now if only I had money to buy one.
