The bookmatch looks a little off. Is one of the sides wrong face up? Maybe it is just the picture. Walnut is such a nice looking wood.

I caught that to, I was just in a hurry to take the pics and flipped one the wrong way for the pic. But that yellow streak does actually show up on one, but not the other, it just kinda ended as I got into the thickness of the wood.
It's not glued together, though, so he's free to go with his favorite sides. I just wish the reflective curls in the wood would show up on camera, they're in there.
This is from my new planer, it's a Ridgid LS1300, 13" wide. I like it so far, no bad reviews from the online folks and it works great. It's a little finicky with Purpleheart, but it slices right through Walnut, Mahogany, and Limba. I'm running wood through this thing like crazy, I feel like a kid again:-)
It looks good to me i'll be happy with that wood it's quiet pretty.
