  1. Ok I have one more question. If I use an internal preamp (this is the only guitar I'm going to put the piezo saddles on) what resistance volume/push pull pot do I need? I want the push pull to control the volume of the piezo pickups and switch between the magnets and the piezo for the output. Do I need the 25k pot for this since I'm using the internal preamp that has the 9 volt battery?
  2. thanks for the input. The tone pot is a dud anyway, I bypassed it when I installed the Duncan Invaders so it's just a single volume on the guitar right now. Does anyone know what the color of the Ghost Saddles from stew mac really look like? I'd like to keep all the hardware black, but if the saddles are the dark chrome like in their pic that would look ok. Also will the ones on Stew Mac fit on my bridge? I mean are they pretty much universal or are they meant for a specific bridge?
  3. is there anyway to wire a push-pull pot to control the output? Like down is just magnetic pickups and up is the piezo? I don't want to add anymore switches, what is the best way to keep it looking stock while expanding the tone?
  4. I have an Ibanez RG with a flat mount string through bridge, does anyone know of a model that will be a direct replacement for the bridge and offer acoustic tones? I have included a pic, any info is appreciated, I really want to expand the tone of this guitar.
  5. Hey Guys, I got a washburn NX6 of ebay a little while back and it had the humbuckers mounted straight to the wood. I personally didn't like the pickups (dimebucker and '59) and more so I didn't like that I couldn't adjust the height on them. So I pulled them out and sold them and bought EMGs. I added mounting rings and the neck pickup fit perfect. However the route for the bridge pickup was not deep enough and when installed the emg sticks up so high the strings rub on it. How do i make the route deeper? What is the best method?
  6. Hey I'm gonna do a jackson body with a material finish and I was wondering, how do I prep the body? I'm stripping a black finish off with a power sander, do I need to sand and seal before applying the glue? Also does it matter what the material is made of? I want to use Camo material to make it look bad-arse. Thanks for your help

  8. Hey I'm installing EMGs on my Washburn N4, and I just noticed that I need a different sized pickup mount for my bridge humbucker. The neck mount worked fine, but the bridge one, was weird as the hole for the pickup was too small for a EMG, and I tried some other mounting rings I had and they fit the pickup, but didn't fit the guitar. So does anyone know where I can find a humbucker mounting ring that is like 3 and 7/16" across? please help

  12. Hey does anyone know where, besides Ebay, I can find EMG pick ups?
  13. ok the neck is ready, just tell me when you have time and what your address is and I'll send it out to you, thanks !!!!
  14. musiciansfriend.com has one for floyds, it fits really good because it comes with the mount aswell so if it doesn't fit at first you can just change the mount easily and it will
  15. yeah I don't have access to a router and i don't have the money to spend on one right now. I'd be willing to pay someone to do this for me. The fretboard is wider than the neck and needs to be cut to fit it right and I just don't have the tools/experience to do it correctly.
