  1. .............OK, Ill bite. Send me what you got. gazt@bigpond.net.au
  2. ............fuse?....huh?
  3. Heavy Metal Strat. Fender's first effort at appealing th the 80's hair band guitarists. Basically a Strat with rear routing, no scratch plate, humbuckers and a Floyd Rose.
  4. Im a big fan of the Fender Vintage Noisless p/ups. Look cool and sound great.
  5. hehe, Thanks for the kind words guys. I know how bad it looked when the routing first started, but I had full confidence that it would work!!!!!!!! And even if it didnt, it makes for a bloody cheap wall hanging.
  6. hmm works for me. Does anyone know a better place to put this than Yahoo Briefcase????
  7. A Warning...............................this becomes adictive
  8. http://briefcase.yahoo.com/ Logon - gary_tones Password - monk023thud067 That should be easier. Inside my documents, its the file called Output 1-1 (0 1 1 1)
  9. Thanks for your kind words guys. The cavity in the back will house the electronics. Pre amp and battery will mount to the inside of the cover. Thats the headstock with the BeAR printed logo.
  10. The electronics arent in yet but the bridge is done and the stings are on. Acoustically it sounds great, the sound has heaps of depth to it.
  11. Yeah it was pretty cheap. Think this might have to go on ebay for a quick profit.
  12. It cost me $320 australian. The 2 humbuckers retail for about the same amount here. Krazyderek..........what condition are the emg's in? got a pic? Tell me more about the 85
  13. I think the pickups will have to go to make way for some EMG's. Everyone keeps raving about them so I might give em a go.
  14. I often buy stuff from the local pawn shop, and this was just too good to pass up. With a case, Dimarzio DP151 PAF Pro in the neck, Dimarzio DP153 FRED at the bridge, and the Dimarzio single/humbucker in the middle. Its an RG470FM. It cost less than 2 of the pickups would have cost. Just gotta explain to the wife why I needed another guitar
  15. One more mention of a needle Bill............................and Ill hit you with a blue guitar. Its actually the metallic blue from a Mazda 6. Well thats what its called here in Australia. It looks seriously cool in person!!!!
  16. Just take your time and measure everything twice.
  17. Final coats of paint are on and polished.
  18. Its the USA police code for 'Criminally Insane'. Its also the name of his home studio where he recorded the last 5 albums.
  19. That almost the same as Fender did in the 80's with their Strats that had the 'swining pool route' as its now called. Just a dirty big hole behind the pickguard. And unfortunately, they aint the best sounding strats around. Why dont you do as I did and put a whole new top on the hollow tele? With the flat top this should be easy...................mmmmmm flame maple cap.
  20. Thanks for the input guys. As I said earlier tho......"remove the finish under the bridge before gluing..." It will be bonded to the wood, not the paint. Thanks for the concern guys, I feel loved
  21. Izzy, the bridge isnt glued yet. Its just sitting there for the photo. I still have half a dozen layers of paint to go on yet, then rub back the whole body, and polish. Once the body is completed, mark the spot where the bridge is to go and remove the finish underneath allowing 1mm or so of the finish to lap under the edge of the bridge. The glue will take up the space of the missing paint. Hope that makes sence?!?!?!?!?
