That's a really unique shape, how does it balance?

It hangs comfortably.The headstock,or lack there of,is brass so it`s got weight,and the smallness of the body does not cause any counterweight.

The bottom curve allows you to play it sitting down nicely also.

Well,I started in August and completed my guitar last night.

I just wanted to thank everybody at the forum for the great help,and especially Brian for putting this thing together.It is the most valuable source for a builder who has never built a guitar.(No Snobs like at...... )

Anyway,I can`t believe the range of sounds and tone this full scale "not a travel guitar" gets. I love it!

Great.I have a bottle of that stuff

After painting there is glue residue on my ebony fretboard from finishing tape.

What is best way/item to remove the glue?

It must be Sweden.Look at that snow!

i understand a fair bit about building solid state amps however i really need to find some decent material on building tube amps. infact i need to find some decent material explaining all about vacuum tubes so if anybody can point me in the right direction i would be most gratefull lol

goat, I built two amps. 6L6 based Fender kinda amps. They sound killer.

Any idea what you want to build, or what sound to achieve?

Awesome art Goat. I'd probably use an airbrush with a very small tip and just freehand outline. Auto pinstripe tape would look bogus and you'll need a ton of clear to bury it.

I have a DiMarzio Virtual Vintage Blues in the neck position.Sounds awesome!

...that's very intricate outlines though...maybe use a paintpen? Art/graphics shops carry paintpens...I used 'em to pinstripe my flamed case, don't know if you can find a super fine tip or if clearcoatable...

I thought of the pens but not sure either.

I`m contemplating doing this around my abalone logo before I put more clearcoats on.The edges are kind of lost in the blue.logo

I already know how to do a Carriburst, and I'm sure others do to, but for the folks who are giving it a run...

...but may not know 'everything there is to know' about the fabled and infamous Carriburst finish, I thought maybe we should have a tips and tricks section?

It is the ABM. You do not need double ball end strings,there are allen heads to lock the string up top.It`s $180 but I put a Schaller roller bridge.

The can does not say anything about between coat times .Thanks for the info.I`m right on it.

Yeah,I`m done now with the color coats,but on the re-reanch site they talk about four coats of clear before laying on many coats just to protect the flake,but they don`t say if you should do those coats right away or if you should wait. ?????????
