  1. :D

Wanna bark a saga of the night the bikes went wild.

Four husky gladiators suited up for a war self-styled.

The Interceptor, Ninja and 1100 primed to score

But me and my Suzuki knew we had so much more.

They thought it would be just another clandestine late night road rally.

But it was the WAR OF THE SUPERBIKES

Red hot pipes and rumbling high tech power plants inch up to the starting line,

but when the dust cleared up on Devil's Backbone,

One man/one bike/one dream would scream across the finish line.

I layed it down into turn one, cranked it down full bore.

With my air-cooled transverse in-line Four Stroke Four.

I knew the 1100 was the man to burn.

I ruled the straightaways, he had me in the turns.

As they blasted out of the high bank

    The Ninja smoked a clutch

"Only two to beat," he thought

As he laid it down to those greasy 'S' turns

In the distance those oversized Japanese leg burners sounded like some sort of mutated gigantic insects.

Three men on monster machines SHOT OUT OF GOD'S SLINGSHOT!!!

The interceptor faded as we hit the hill W.F.O.

All I had to do was hold on, seven miles to go.

But there were red lights flashing, the cops were gaining fast.

In our high-powered way awesome road-smoking 12 mile dash.

The FJ 1100 made his move on the inside

As the speedometer bounced over the 100 mile-per-hour mark

But he got a little too deep in the curve,

    and didn't see the pothole.

All he saw was a burning, hurtling ball of death

as he blasted off into cool night air.

Just him and his GS 1150.

It's the WAR OF THE SUPERBIKES(3X).

  2. yeah wood filler is too thick.i tried it once and itr sucks.i am going to try ca glue next, per drak's suggestion....his stuff is so cool

O.K. I returned that stuff and am going to pick up the right stuff.

What is the technique for using CA glue?

I know Drak stains and clears alot of his stuff,I`m painting this Lake Placid Blue.

  3. Place the tunomatic center on there. After that, since it's tun-o-matic for each string work out the intonation. if it's The low e string, Then on the same string twelfth fret it should also be E. then just keep fixing the intonation for each individual string until on every single string the twelfth fret is the same exact note.

renablistic,I`m pretty sure if you place the tun0matic square to centerline, you may run out of intonation on the high or low end if it`s not staggered.

For this reason on this Schaller Bridge, the adjustment screws run parallel to the center-line of the guitar when staggered.

  4. The center of the stud? And you also recess it right? So neck angles aren't an issue. How deep do ya go?

When referring to center of stud,we mean distance from nut to center,or in my case a zero-fret,not the height of the stud.I do have neck angle for this,so I won`t have to recess anything.

I needed the reference point Wes has given me.

  5. I glued the wings on my neck.I still have to sand and carve more.I don`t have the jack cavity drilled yet,but I put on the hardware and put in the electronics and pickups and used jumpers to hook them up.

IT ALL WORKED:wOOt Sounds better than I expected! :D

No buzz,no dead notes and great action.Plus, the coil splitting five way worked in every position.I am very pleased so far. B)

The only thing, the bridge sucks. It sits flat on the body and even though they are individual rollers, the only height adjustments are tiny allens on each individual roller that don`t raise or lower very far.

I`m opting to get a Schaller roller tune-o-matic with the adjustable wheel posts instead.I think it will look better also.

  6. A good tip for fretting is to always assume you'll have to remove the frets. If you do a good job the guitar will outlive you, so it will inevitably need a refret at some point.

With this in mind, always bevel the top edge of the fret slots with a small square file. Only a tiny bevel is required, and it will really reduce chip out if you have to pull any frets. The bevel also makes it easier to get the fret into place the first time.

    That is a good tip.

I`ll use it putting the three new ones in.

  7. What kind of glue did you use ? (if super glue, water thin, medium or gel ?). I'm thinking about trying the gel type, because I assume less of the glue goes soaking far into the wood.

    I used Titebond.

I think the superglues are not good because the joint gets ruined if you ever have to re-fret.

Bob Benedetto does it this way(Titebond) on all his guitars.Just leave some out in the middle and a little on the sides(especially if you have binding) for run out.Too much glue and it may not seat because of pressure.

He`s a master luthier and some of his guitars sell for $50,000.
