  1. can you remember how much postage was wez? theres some tasty wood there
  2. still slow going on this one. having fretted it i decided i should have a 12th fret inlay standard to all my guitars. and why not start with this one. went well considering the frets were already on. its ivory from antique piano keys. cant see the grain in the pics but its nice stuff. close-up
  3. id go for something curvier in the f-hole department to match the body more. that one looks too straight and at odds with everything else to me. but then im me and not you i suppose hehe. looking good - im desperate to build my archtop damn it!
  4. its definately gonna be natural finish. i love how it looks now fretboard not glued on (still waiting for a truss rod). body carving started on front and back. heres another pic
  5. stirling silver logo. front and back of headstock are faced with black veneer
  6. theres some sound clips on the website here. they're the fenton weill atlas
  7. not had any time for this one for a while but got a bit done today. neck is only rough cut. im leaning towards natural for this one, but i guess i shall see when its all done and ready for finishing
  8. im doing one for someone - got a spare screen from korg and found someone to program the midi controller. its programmed for kaoss pad and digitech whammy. theres a knob to select from the presets in the kaoss pad and by clicking it you select between the kaoss and whammy.
  9. yeah same electronics and its only gonna be either natural or a cherry red so no dark finish like the last one. the neck part is just that wide cos thats the board i got. there were only two boards of black limba when i went so i got em both and one just happened to be the right length for two neck throughs so i used it for the neck sections. it just fits the pickups and bridge on it so i can do all the routing for them before glueing the sides on which is useful
  10. its the same pickup just on my chair. must be the light
  11. This one's a sister to the single cut limba guitar i did a while back using the same boards as that one. this time its a double cut with a wilkinson/gotoh vs401 for some wobbly action and some rather sexy adeson pickups. it will be slow going as i have other projects to be doing that im actually getting paid for but whenever i have chance i shall be working on this one. this time im thinking either natural or cherry red
  12. you could take the top down all teh way round so it looks like double binding? might be a bit tricky to keep it all the same width all the way round but its an idea
  13. yes yes lovely top. but baby got back too! hehe
  14. just cos its dry doesnt mean its cured. leave it at least overnight. depends what it is it might need a week or more to properly cure, especially given the cold weather. if it still smells its not cured. if its not properly cured and you start putting it all together the finish might ride up around tuner bushings, bridge etc. you dont want to be rushing it only to have to do it again, trust me.
  15. its still there its just a bit harder to see. iv changed my site today and it now works with IE, firefox and opera. dont know about anything else tho
  16. well a lot of people seem to like this one so i shall put it in. plus novembers my birthday so hehe. Deco S Jnr. "Tri-caster" black limba neckthrough with ebony fretboard/binding. 15 year old (ish) kent armstrong burns tri-sonic pickups with series/parallel wiring 10 year old schaller deluxe tuners (still solid as a rock) gotoh 510 wraparound bridge black burst finish for those who are interested, here are the pickup selections parallel 5-way neck neck+middle middle middle+bridge bridge 5-way + push/pulls adds neck+bridge neck+middle+bridge neck+middle phased neck+bridge phased neck+middle+bridge phased series blend pot blends between neck+middle - middle+bridge and includes all three on together push/pull on vol (introduces bridge in parallel mode) takes out middle pickup in series giving neck+bridge in midway position of pot. push/pull on tone phases bridge pickup as per parallel and finally some pics
  17. i just downloaded firefox and opera today cos people on other sites were talking about it. stupid browsers not being the same!!! and my stupid computer not letting me on this site for no reason!!! psw - heres the original diagram. we've got a little deal going now where he's gonna let me use his wiring diagrams and if i need any he will design more for me. which is good. it sounds really nice, some really smooth sounds as well as some big bruisers and the phase gives even more options. really like it. and maple or tv yellow with a trem? get your wallet out! hehe anyway, heres some better pics
  18. finally got around to finishing this one. i cant get on this site on my computer which is really annoying. anyway, theres pics here
  19. yeah looks a bit brighter with all the bits on. just waiting for a few pennies so i can get the last little bits to finish this one off. shouldnt be long now.
  20. yeah so did i and it was) but the first pass i did looked kinda crappy so i did another, and another and before i knew it it was all covered up
  21. got the burst done yesterday. was going to do the clear today only my spray gun is leaking out of every orifice so im going to have to get a new one. i went a bit black happy on the neck, but ah well. also, theres not the huge difference in brightness of the neck and back as there looks to be in the pic either
  22. you better actually finish this one damn it! everytime i've been waiting to see yours finished. if you dont finish this one then i shall just have to...um.....say bad things about you behind your back
  23. looks like a hell of a lot of frets that you arent going to be able to reach to me. apart from that looks fine and dandy
  24. managed to get some more done. my computer broke so i havent been able to post anything. luckily i had all my images and files on a dongle thing cos iv lost everything that was on the computer. damn it. anyway, got the fretboard on, fretted (no work done on the frets yet), and neck rough carved. i asked for a slightly stripey bit of ebony, and thats what i got. s'nice
