  1. I'm a painter\body and vehicle mechanic by trade. In the painting trade there is a phenomenon called "edge retention" (an expression of the paint pulling away from an edge due to capillary action) when applied over an edge. This happens with paint, plating, or any kind of coating applied in any manner except a brush or other like application tool. In other words, edges are a bitch. If your tuners do the main job of tuning and holding the string; well that's REALLY what is required, looking nice is a plus, but most people won't see the bit of corrosion on the metal work of your axe. Having sad all that; we like our stuff to look nice or cool. A very informative review! That you for your expertise and advice!
