  1. Argh! those look really awesome in some of the later pics though
  2. Argh I come onto this forum to escape my physics revision to be greeted with this! Wheres this coming from Drak... are you writing it yourself or copying it from somewhere else? And I dont know if I'm missing something but it appears ever so slightly irrelevant...
  3. I should read more carefully Hello, And thank you . Yes the tremolo is homemade. I designed it very simple because I don't have a CNC machine . Just a belt sander to shape and saws. There is lots of room to slide the hand on the neck . I'd be very interested in seeing some more of that tremolo And also the verdict when you've tried it
  4. Whoa those are insane In a good way about the last one; 1. Is that some kind of custom trem you are making or do my eyes decieve? 2. Do you have to be careful when moving from a fret near the headstock to one near the body, cos it looks like your hand could get a bit of a spiking in the pic ----------------------------------- edit: I should read more carefully
  5. For some reason the body shape reminds me of toast. Thats not a bad thing I like it a lot
  6. I'm not sure what you are talking about. What is o rly? Its just a silly image: Strangely, when I layered your inlay over that image, the features align almost perfectly Nice inlay Btw
  7. Inspired by boredom Is the resemblance to the 'o rly' owl thing intentional?
  8. What wes said I LOVE that 3 piece top LP esque one
  9. I think he got banned a day or two ago for something in that 8 string for someone from putrefy thread. Probably shouldnt say more than that- best if that can of works stays firmly closed
  10. yeah I like it how it is too If you just want another colour, why not trade it in and just buy one in that colour? If you want to practice why not try it on a cheaper guitar? Just dont want to see that nice V ruined
  11. ditto on what mr. Mickguard said Does it in both firefox and opera.
  12. I predict that in a few minutes this thread will be full of; ARGH no! dont do it! Router spins way too fast for bits intended for drills! etc
  13. the more you develop this design, the more I like it
  14. I really love how this is turning out
  15. Cool! I love everything I've seen you make, and this is no exception
  16. Thanks all for the comments Still yet to get it all wired and strung up, but as soon as I do, ill let you know how it sounds. I'll try to get a pic or two of the back as well when i next get chance.
  17. Hey I remember the design thread for this Thats looking really fantastic! Looking forward to seeing how this develops
  18. At last! I kept having problems with the burning thing, basically because my coats of lacquer were thin (because it isn’t cheap! ), so I ended up sanding through the burnt design a few times, and of course, this is way more problematic than a normal sand through (cant just re-spray that part of the design, cos its burnt on, and lacquer+ fire = bad ) So whenever I sanded through I had to strip the area back to wood etc... Basically I got fed up, and decided to just ditch the burning and do the design in lacquer. I still think it looks pretty cool. The photos are a bit crappy cos its night here and my camera is rubbish in all but direct sunlight, but you get the idea. I'll try to get better ones tomorrow. I think the hours and hours of sanding was worth it in the end, its really super shiny like a mirror. It really is a pain in the arse to do this with aerosols, sanded through the black so many times trying to get it completely smooth. More pics: Ben
  19. Its sort of really cool in a freakishly ugly way... If that makes sense... Which it doesnt
  20. As a non-trek geek... what does it say?
  21. I was wondering when there'd be some progress on this one Looking really great so far!
