  1. I was surfing the tube the other day and actually found that video (atleast I think it's the same you're talking about). He makes a neck and then steps on it, also showing the onepiece neck and what happened to it
  2. Does anyone here know any effects that would make the guitar get the similar sound of a NES. Example (youtube) the first 25 seconds. Example#2 (youtube) ignore the 10 first seconds (not my videos) It can probably be made with MIDI, but is there something similar to a distortion pedal? Or maybe just an onboard effect? Thanks
  3. The idea was for something like this. http://www.flickr.com/photos/guitardude/519946757/ Only with some modifications.
  4. Theyre supposed to be all single coils and the point with all this was to not have a switch, but insteaad have the ability to lower the volume (to zero) if you dont want the pickup to recieve signals.
  5. Hi, Ill start with the picture So what I'm wondering is can you make one pickup have it's own volume control? So if you want, you can use all of them but just lower the volume for like the bridge one and so on... The gray ring is a tone control. Would it work? If yes, can you show me?
  6. Hi, I've been wondering... You got the ability to change intonation on electric guitars like this but on acoustics you have nothing. So if you're going to make a completely own electric guitar with own wounded pickups and own bridge design, is it possible to skip the adjustable stringholders? Or will there be problems in the future?
  7. Very nice guitar. I really like the f holes and then inlay... Amazing.
  8. When you have F holes on your guitar ( both acoustic and electric), do you usually put a piece so you cant see all the way in. Like if youre making a resonator guitar (wooden) with f holes, should you put a piece of wood under the hole so you cant see the resonator cone?
  9. verhoevenc; Yeah, I probably should. But hey, I'm learning now dude. And this was just supposed to be a school project. Atleast tell me this; Is it the length between the bridge and nut or from the nut to the 12th fret?
  10. I'm a newbie on building guitars etc. Anyway... I've seen many people ask about what scale length the should use. Like on an Ukulele, someone answered 17 inches. From where do you meassure this? And, is it important to have it exactly? (If yes, then Why?)
  11. Question: How do you attach a neck onto a solid body? (ukulele ofcourse) Also, is it better to make the neck of one solid piece of wood than gluing the head angle and the part that attaches to the body?
  12. Who are you working with? and How important is the slope of the coverplate? I mean is it possible to make with a flat coveplate? And Is the distance (the width) on the bridge(?) and nut important (the width) ? Do the string-holder-slots have to be even with the bridge or?
  13. Do you mean like this? Or this? Sorry can't get the flipping image tags to work. -ToneMonkey I live in the northwest part of Skåne. (Skåne is the southest part if ya didint know)
