  1. OK! I couldn't find a place to put this question, so I'm putting it in electronics. I have a strat with a floater. I have never changed one till recently (a pain to do one). When I finally finished, I didn't notice a noise out of place, so good, till about two weeks later. On the low E, A, and D strings when I strum at normal pressure, the stings ring off of the metal of the fret in front of the one I'm playing on. Only a chime for about half a second, but annouying - mostly on the low E. The back of the floater is not really that high off the guitar and I'm guess maybe that is the problem, because the strings are just to low. Why I'm asking what to do is I hate going into problems blind not knowing what the solutions going to be besides random work. Takes to longer and I never understand unless someone tells me. So please, help me out, the floater is killing me.
  2. I'm wanting to buy a Dimarzio Vintage Solo pickup for my strat and I'm wandering where to put it. People have told me to put it in the front and put heavy pickups in the back to grab high and low sounds. Is that a good idea, or should I put pickups meant for picking up higher sounds in the back and lower in the front?
  3. I'd like to hear it mixed a little different. Just a touch could really show some color that's being missed in the songs.
  4. I wanting to know what you think is the best amp for playing the blues. I've been told by older artist that it's Roland. What do you like best?
  5. I've been playing for a couple of years now and want to ask for advice about put some pickups in my Fender Stratocaster FMT. I don't know what brands make what sounds, so I'm asking to find out. I'm looking for a bluesy sound with an edge. Think Smashing Pumpkins meets Oasis. Any advise would be more than welcome. Thank You.
