  1. It is what the customer specified so that is what I build.
  2. I have just finished putting on the stain on the Harlot fretless. Not the best pics but you get the idea.
  3. Most of the shaping now done on the headless.
  4. Got the ramp fitted to day.. More pics
  5. Just about finished the neck carve and boy was the ebony hard work, but worth the effort.
  6. Wait until you see some finish on it. There is no shortage of figure. Alan
  7. Hi Many thanks RGman. Some progress on the 6 string headless. The neck is now fitted and the pickup/ramp section done. ACG Gallery
  8. I sympathise, I have had to move into a room in my house, not ideal but hopefully short term. Moving the whole workshop was a major pain found several things I have been looking for for ages lost several new things. Buying new tools is always a treat even better if you can actually justify them. Alan
  9. Hi Robbie Good to hear from you. Have you got your new shop up and running yet. Alan
  10. It was not that long ago that I was looking at guitars here and thinking no way I can do that. It always takes me a bit by surprise when someone refers to me as a professional. The cavity is routed into the burl. The S Type is now being sprayed which will take a while as the pores in the wenge are huge. Alan
  11. Hi A good day today. I got the neck and heel carved and the body contouring done on the left hander. The body contouring done on the Harlot fretless. A pile of stuff re-sawnen and 4 scarf joints cut.
  12. Got the neck pocket sorted out on the left hander. The bass is mocked up with some 5 string MM style pickups.
  13. Thanks guys. I was never to sure about single cuts when I first saw them but now I think I prefer them. Tim they balance very well as long as the strap button is at the 12 th fret or below. That is why the strap button is on the back of the above bass. Alan
  14. Put the S Type Harlot together to day. Final sanding needs done then of to the spray booth.
  15. Tim The pre-amp is active pickups passive. That is the wenge front one with the MM pickups. Alan
  16. Got the neck finished on this one today.
  17. First of my new MM style pickups.
  18. Spent most of the day sorting out the control cover and lining the cavity edge with veneer. Also got the neck pocket sorted out for the 4 string Harlot fretless. Pictures of the covers are on my site in the relevant build thread in the gallery.
  19. Looks pretty good to me especially for a first build. are you still putting on the scratch plate etc. Alan
  20. That is a good looking guitar really like the shape Alan
  21. Hi Tim Things are going in the right direction. What you are seeing is just the progress on about 6 builds I am working on at the moment but none are close to being finished. I am waiting for various parts to turn up and then there is all the spraying to do so still loads of work to do. Alan
  22. Just got some more done on the left hand 6 string. That is the neck pretty much done so the next step will be to sort out the neck pocket.
  23. Some work done on the headless 6.
  24. As interesting as always Robbie should look as good as all your others. Alan
  25. Hi Ben What you been up to lately I saw the one you put up on MIMF I was well impressed. I like the wenge one myself. A bit more done on the S Type. The heel has been carved so most of the major wood work has been done.
