I've never gotten any spam PMs, but I've gotten 3 or 4 in the past few days since I posted in this thread. Maybe they just wanna rough us up a little for trying to help stop them.

This is definitely a GOTM contender for me.

CAPS LOCK FTW!!!!!!
Sorry to hear your troubles!

Very cool guit!!! But...another with matte black? I dunno man, that always ruins it for me.

Yea, add your location to your profile.

That's pretty darn sexy Wez! Nice job!!!

What's with the frets?
Looks similar to one of those true temperament fretting systems.

Forget about water boarding. A Drak thread with no pics?

That's very cool!

Davee5 - WOW! I've been waiting a long time to see the finished product and it was well worth the wait. I don't know what to say that hasn't been said; beautiful guitar! You got my vote.
Avenger - You know, I liked this build...until you painted it. I just cannot dig the matte 'caution tape' color scheme you've got going on here.
AndyT - Nice swirl! I'm not a fan of that guitar style, but it looks very nicely done.
Feral - HAH! GHOSTBUSTERS! Awesome.

On my acoustic, I use 13s (mediums). I use lights too, sometimes. Haven't played electric in awhile (and won't, until I finish my build :S), but I'll probably start with 10s and try 11s as well.

I know ReRanch rattlecans (nitrocellulose lacquer) have been used with Tru-oil clear coats with no problems. So that, or something similar, is an option.

Nice job!!! I'm really digging all these corvus spin-offs.

Wow, nice! I would love to make something like that.

I agree with Rick.
Cool design! Can't wait to see it.

I'm glad John, or you'd be in trouble. I don't sell my wood to men.
Well...I don't sell it to women either...hmmm...metaphors never work for me.

This whole thread sounds a little gay. But when your addicted to wood, what're ya gonna do?
My name is Andy, and I'm addicted to wood.

The bridge on my violin is beginning to bend down and back toward the tailpiece. I assume it's because of the pressure of the strings, though there have been a few incidents.
Anyway, what would be the best way to flatten it back out (if that's even advisable)?

I may get this before long, as I really would like to build an acoustic sometime.
It would be great if someone on the forum could write a review of it when they get it!

Good showing all around. Here are my two favorites:
scottyd - Absolutely lovely! I love the woods and general aesthetic. Great workmanship!
WezV - Holy crap! This one is pretty darn cool. It manages to pull off odd, cool, and pretty all at the same time. I like the woods, and the design work especially well with them. This isn't something I'd normally go for, but I'm really gravitating toward it. Great job!
It was a tough choice, but WezV's build is really cool! Congrats!

Yeah, I feel that way about my router too. I kind of look at it for a few seconds before I approach it... make sure it's not up to something.
It certainly is a sneaky little bastard! Gotta keep 'em their place. Table saws, on the other hand, want to kill you and they don't try to hide it. I can just see the saliva dripping off the blade.....
