    thanks for noticing my straplock idea! im happy that you noticed them. They were actually very easy to do...i drilled the hole for the strap lock screw like normal...but i drilled it deeper than usual...then i took the strap lock itself to a measurer to see how big it is around...and find a drill bit which is one size smaller...then just drill it and it'll work great! and its just the picture...i know the 81 goes in the bridge..and it did....and boy does it sound great!

    i have an idea of how to use fiber obtics to make an led fretboard....but how would i wire the main light bulb or led light into the guitar? is it part of the guitar wiring or is it completely separate and run off a battery?

    I havnt been around these boards in a while...or worked on my explorer due to frustrations...but i got back to work and i finally finished it! the finish looks ok...but from a distance, no one can tell...i played it today for the first time at a gig(the moment of truth is when i turned off the standby) and it worked great! the emg's sounded awesome! i will try to get pics of it up asap...but for now here are the specs: mahoganny body maple neck ebony fretboard (25 1/2" scale) graphite nut all black body and parts emg 81 and 85 2 vol 1 toggle sperzel locking tuners duct tape cavity cover(i cant find the first one i made!) -and thanks to everyone who helped me along the way!

    well i mean do you guys just let the head sit in the middle of the back of the trucK? or do u just pack them in tight? i was thinking about making a system where the heads bolt down to the bed of the truck...so they wont fly around...sound good or no?

    i just got a jcm 800 and my other guitarist got a plexi....im new with tubes but i know they can break real easily..and i gotta transport my amp all the time...i wanted to know how everyone else transports tubes and what they do to make sure they dont shatter on the trip home....thanks

    wow im shocked that you got it back! im so happy for you! but i wonder if the guy that is giving it back to you may be the one who stole it...but now feels bad or something....i dunno..it COULD happen...and another thing i wonder tho....if i saw a name in a cavity i would just think its the name of the previous owner...since it is used and all...i wonder how he knew to do a search and all...thats crazy...you owe this guy big time

    i used grain filler on my mohoganny explorer and the front looks great and flat...but the back still shows grain...can i add any filler or sealer on top of the paint to prevent grain? or do i have to sand it back down? thanks

    hi ive been trying to learn how to sing and play guitar at the same time because i would love to be the singer of my band...and im kinda getting it but sometimes either the guitar gets thrown off or my voice does...any tips for doing this or excersises or practices? any advise is needed...thanks

    ok thanks thats making sense....so where do the ferrules sit? in the middle of the guitar just about or does it matter? and what about the metal rings that protect the top where the come out? just use brass tubing cut to length like you said?thanks alot

    when u sand the inlay level with the fretboard doesnt it scratch the hell out of the inlay or the fretboard? what grits of sandpaper do you use to get it level and then finish it out? thanks

    hi..im making a string thru pretty soon and im wondering how do they work? how many ferrules does each string need? and where these ferrules go? i thought each string only needed one ferrule...but then i looked at a guitar and i noticed little rings around where the string comes out on top of the guitar and in back where the strings go in? can someone explain how to do this? thanks

    yes i am...should i use that dupont paint too if i want to use the dupont clear? or is mixing brands alright?i just got done with the sanding sealer and am ready to paint so i need to know soon if possible..which paint should i get? and which clear coat? or is there even more than one? thanks

    i might be using the minwax poly and im concerned about the yellowing..i never knew it did this...but does this yellowing only happen on transparent finishes? because im paint my guitar black so will the yellowing still show or no? thanks im also thinking i might go with the automotive clear finish...which one is best? the dupont?
