  2. hi, im building an explorer now and i am a big noob! i have a few questions: lol, yer anyway my explorer shall have a tuno-matic and stop tailpiece. i have seen guitars with angled tunomatics and non-angled ones. the plans i have got(cad drawing from guitarbuild.com) show the tunomatic on an angle? can anyone please help me with this? also wen routing for a tunomatic and tailpeice do i only have to drill the four holes for them to screw into the body or what? help is greatly appreciated!

  5. 647.7 mm (25 1/2 inch) scale length? does that sound ok to you....its for a explorer. apparently the CAD says it is an esp explorer..anyway any help is appreciated. Cheers Jimmyb

  8. im building an explorer. i have downloaded the 'explorer13_pub.dwg' CAD file from www.guitarbuild.com i had someone dimension it for me, and i have printed it to real size. now i just need to know if my dimensions are correct. ok bassicly: The length from point to point= 613.808mm The height= 450.9012mm if these are correct i can assume the others are correct. Thanks in advance
  9. hmm yeh thanks. i have printed it out onto A4 and wil take it to Snap Printing(a big printer company here in australia), and get them to make it A0 size.
  10. it says that the scale is 1:1 and the paper size is A0 size. does this mean i cant print it out on A4 then blow it up to A0 then it will be real size?
  11. Does anyone know it. My uncle who is a carpenter bought it for me and its good solid wood with a nice look to it. So yeah.. im building a explorer type guitar and does anyone know if its good. Thanks
  12. hmmm would certainly look sik....dunno if it would work tho. mabye try some on a bit of scrap wood or something.
  13. ok ive got the cad and im only bulding the body and im going to buy the neck. is this cad accurate. like if i print it out and get it to A0 size then will it be real size? and can i use this cad for the humbucker templates and things like that? thanks in advance
