Spyderbell
I was wondering if a deep red transparent rub-on compound would be a good finish. I used some on my ruger 10/22 and my shotguns' stocks and i love the color and how it looks. Is this common? have people done it? i don't want to mess something up but i think if i did like 7-8 coats it'd look killer! I just got my saga kit yesterday and i'd like to start it asap!!! Thanks for the help! Colin
Brian
While it may be common on gun stocks I've never heard of it being used on a guitar body. Sounds simular to french polishing though In the end there both made of wood but the Saga kits have a thick very hard sanding sealer you might have to take off first to get the same kind of finish.
