Alchool
What are the differences between one-piece necks and laminated ones?
john
tonally im not sure, but stability-wise laminated are better. The laminations are oriented opposite to each other so that if one piece twists, the opposing direction of the grain in the neighbouring pieces will cause them to counter the twist . Hence no twist. thats all i know.
westhemann
yes the main thing is it makes a stiffer neck.try out an rgt 42 at your local music store.they all have 5 piece laminate necks.(maple and walnut).i think the laminated necks are superior in every way.
