GuitarMaestro
Hi! Seems I cannot find a place that is able to sell me a highly figured birdseye maple neck blank with the following dimensions: 37" x 5 1/8" x 1 3/4" Most suppliers do not have a birdseye maple piece that is long AND thick enough. If you know a good supplier that could help me out, please let me know. Thanks in advance, Marcel Knapp! P.s.: I already asked the common suppliers that are listed in the supply section and go through ebay daily -> no success so far

Guitarfrenzy
Finding a 7/4 piece of good figured Birdseye maple might be a challenge, but I think I saw some at the local Hogan Hardwoods. If I'm up there next time I'll check for you if you'd like, I'm sure they have it and they'll let me pick what piece I want.
GuitarMaestro
That would be great frenzy. When do you go there? I would be willing to pay you a fee for getting the tsuff....
Guitarfrenzy
If you don't mind me asking, why do you need a 7/4 piece? Scarf joint would save you tons of money.
GuitarMaestro
If you don't mind me asking, why do you need a 7/4 piece? Scarf joint would save you tons of money. Because I build a neck-through guitar and the body will be 1 3/4" thick.

Maybe you need something from Bavaria some time Other thing: If you find what I need can I deal with them directly or would you have to buy it for me?
