Wrong place to post this...
Let the Mods mod.

Yes basically the same less RG's are basswood and JEMs are Alder...
All Jem's, with the exception of the VWH, VSBL, 10th and I believe the 90th, are basswood.

otherwise, the JEM is not a bolt on neck.. but 'basically' the same.
All Jems are bolt on necks.

A little more research there, Albert!

Jimm,

The 10th and 90th are both basswood bodies as well. The only 2 non-basswood bodied JEM's are the VWH and VSBL.

Differences between the JEM and RG are

Monkey Grip

Lions claw

Input jack (the Jem has the tilted jack cavity)

On the original body style neck joints the Jem had a fully recessed neck joint on the back where the RG was only angled.

I was pretty sure I was wrong about the 90th, but are you sure the 10th was basswood? I was under the impression that it was Alder.

Eeeeeeh....could be wrong. Probably am.
