JimmyHetfield
ok not to condesend anynone but their is a button usualy on the right hand portion of the keyboard that is lettered "PrtScn" if this is pressed while holding down Ctrl it will take a snapshot of whatever is on screen at that time essentially saving it to clipboard. the easiest way to vioew what you have copied is to thw go to "paint" "edit" and then "paste" which should paste in teh image you have copied on screen please forgive the spelling mistakes as I am rather Drunk :o) merry xmas to one and ALL
Jon
You don't need to press ctrl + prt scr. Print screen alone will copy what you are viewing on your monitor.

DC Ross
Alt + PrtScn takes a snapshot of the currently active window. PrtScn by itself takes a snapshot of the entire desktop. Vista has a new tool called the Snipping Tool (type "Snipping Tool" in the Search box on the Start menu), that allows you to copy any part of the screen & save it without having to open Paint or Photoshop & paste it.
