Aharon
I have a neck that I absolutely love,is fast, slick etc but the body it's attached to I kindda found out is laminate and the bridge is not so good. What do I need to know in order to buy a body with a neck cavity that fits dead on plus the scale lenght matches?. Thanks Aharon
www
Do you have the abilites to rout? If so you can buy a body blank and do your own routing to match the neck. You could look at bodies from somplace like USA Custom Guitars and ask them not to do the routing. Than you can place the parts where they belong. Just a thought. PerryL
At Warmoth they have a nice selection of painted and bodies that you may like. Check the spotlight section and tell it what you're looking for. IF the neck is a standard made neck, strat style, 25 1/2" scale length it should fit fine in the bodies they offer. Aharon
Thanks guys. It's a LADO strat copy. The neck measures 18" from the nut to the last fret and 25 1/2" to the bridge,21 frets. That's pretty standard I guess. I'll try Warmoth and see what they have and check back with you. Thanks again Aharon
javacody
You could send the neck to Tommy, I bet he'd rout an exact pocket to match. He'd probably even drill the bolt holes to match, he's a helluva guy.
www
I would talk to Tommy before using Warmoth. Just my opinion, but there is no comparison. USACustom Guitars is the definately the place to go. I am not flaming Warmoth. I just don't think they can match the service.
Aharon
I think USA Custom Guitars is the best bet.Dropped by the site and the choices are many and prices decent.I will probably send him an email soon.
