slayer63636 Posted January 7, 2005 Report Share Posted January 7, 2005 recenty i added a volume pot to my jackson KV4. it came out good but now my tone pot dosent work. well it dose but it has to be down all the way unless i get a really weak singal. i repalced the capaitor and still nothing. any one have any idea on what it could be? mattdowney Posted January 7, 2005 Report Share Posted January 7, 2005 i would say your pot is worn out, or is dirty. you could take it apart and clean it but it is much easyer to just pop a new one in, it will only cost you about 5 - 10 $. before you do that check to make sure that all your connections are good and that your solder joints are clean. i would just put a new pot in, and if that isnt the problem you will still have a nice new clean pot in your guitar. later on Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
