First Project

Hi !! this is my first post :D

Here is my first project..neckthru body telecaster

The wings are made in Paduak in front and okoumé for the back. Okoumé have little minus density than mahogany but i prefer the finish and color.

(you can see the finish of okoumé on body of Leviatan style who i made last week)

the neck laminated is made Jatoba/koa/maple flamed ( i'm not shure for the Koa wood 'cause i don't have the name on the plank when i bought it.. when i sanded he smell like poo hehehe..anyone can help me for the name ?? )

I choose Morado for fingerboard but i have many option to fingerboard plank

I read this forum for find maximum informations..But my english is not good and i need somes explications

I think telecaster have no neck angle it is right ??? i tried to make somes neck with angle ..but is not easy

'cause i dont have bandsaw.It's why i think is more easy to make neckthru body.

Paduak is a oily wood Titebound glue are suffisant strong for glued my wings on my neck ??

A guy tell me for the oily wood the best is 20/20 glues ???

sorry man, i can't help ya pout here, jé né parle françoise :D but in english i can help you as much as i can, and as far as i know, there's no need for a neck angle with a tele, if you're using a tele bridge, are you gonna have a headstock angle? or are you gonna leave it flat just like a regular tele? your project looks great man, that padouk is really beautiful :D

Looks great! That's some pretty fancy wood, and it looks like you did a really good job on the Leviathan body - let us know how it turns out.

Ah, et je parle peu de français, aussi, s'il y a quelque chose que tu ne peux dire en anglais. C'est quelques ans depuis que j'ai l'etudié, mais peut-être je peux t'aider.

good work Zard, for your first guitar project, its simply a great job.

nice design and for the wood ya choose... so cooool.

little error ya made seems to be fixed now, when the final pic is comming ? :D

it would be nice if we can hear how it sound after the guitar is done.

cant wait to see it done.

I was working with a few boards of some exotic wood (don't remember the name, it's pretty obscure) that's also very oily...but it holds fine with normal wood glue.

Et si tu as des problemes avec l'anglais, je pourrai faire quelques traductions aussi...il y a aussi ce site en francais qui semble bien...
