Fender Deville 410

Im in the market for a tube amp right now and the local music store has a really nice Fender Deville 410. It sounds great until I hit a bass note really hard. Whenever I hit a note like that the amp makes a cracking sound that kind of disrupts the sound of the note. It doesn't do this when treble notes are played. I wasn't able to ask the owner about it because he was busy with another customer and I had an appointment I had to get to. And I was playing my guitar through it so I know that that isn't the problem. Do any of you guys have any idea what this problem could be caused by? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks a lot. I'm pretty sure that's what it is but I still wanted an outside opinion. Im gonna see if I can talk to the shop about putting some different tubes in and letting me play it again and if they don't maybe i'll just buy one off of musiciansfriend.
