joerules22 Posted April 25, 2005 Report Share Posted April 25, 2005 My vintage gibson les paul 1979 it had 2 pickups installed on it with 3 wire like a normal humbucker but the old ones included stamped mar.9 1979 have only one wire i cant figure how to reconnect them. help me out! Daniel Sorbera Posted April 25, 2005 Report Share Posted April 25, 2005 Does the one wire have a sire in the middle with a cloth shield and a braided wrap around the cloth? Daniel Sorbera Posted April 25, 2005 Report Share Posted April 25, 2005 (edited) Basicly you wan't it wired up like this(click here). thereJust pretend the P90's are humbuckers. The braid goes to ground (the back of the volume pot which than goes to the ground of the output jack). just follow that diagram and everything will be fine.
