shanter Posted May 11, 2005 Report Share Posted May 11, 2005 Hey, Im goin to start on a new project tomorrow and i was wondering what sorts of paint would be proper to use under a polyurethane clear? I mean, i know about Reranch and such but im goin to need a number of different colors and im not up for paying 16+ a bottle for it. I was in pepboys today and i saw a bunch of differnt sorts of paint for classic cars in aerosol cans. Would these be safe under a polyurethan finish? Maiden69 Posted May 11, 2005 Report Share Posted May 11, 2005 What do you means for poly clear. Automotive 2 part paint or spray can poly? If it is spray can, you can't use ReRanch paint. If it's the 2 part, you can use the duplicolor stuff they got at Pep Boys, but I will suggest you go to a hobby shop and get water based paint like the Createx Air Brush or Auto air.
