iskim86 Posted May 13, 2005 Report Posted May 13, 2005 how would go about removing the anchors for a tune-o-matic bridge? i found the tutorial for removing trem posts, but not hardtails. should I leave it to a professional to do it for me? I don't want to put any cracks for scratches on my precious baby!! also, I've noticed the holes for the studs on my new Gotoh tune-o-matic are a bigger than the studs itself. It's a pretty loose fit. is it supposed to be like this? thanks! btw here are pictures of the two shipments I got from Warmoth and Guitar Parts Depot today...... PRE-SLOTTED Earvana Nut! can't wait to put this puppy in Gotoh Tune-o-Matic bridge! Quote
Maiden69 Posted May 13, 2005 Report Posted May 13, 2005 1st of all, Welcome, 2nd you need to resize the pics, the allowed size here is 600x600. 3rd, Only one pic per post, if it is not a tutorial, or GOTM post. Ok, now to the questions. The tutorial on the main site for the trem post is the same that you would use for the TOM post. The GOTOH TOM is like that, they are loose fitting. At least you got the better one ofthe ones that G P D sells, since they have the nut on the end, the other one have c clamps on the inside and never stay still, no matter what you do. If you feel comfortable doing it, go ahead, it is not rocket sience. I will find harder to set that Earvana nut than installing the TOM posts. Quote
