Imabasketcase16
i have this acoustic guitar that has frets, and I got this idea to make it fretless, can any help?
tirapop
Buy these fret pullers or modify an existing set of nippers to do the same thing. Carefully pull the frets. Fill the kerfs with epoxy, strips of wood/plastic, or decorative pieces of metal or stone. Scrape or sand what's there flush. I think that's it. sepultura999
please do a search in the forum. There's a search engine on the top right. This has been covered numerous amounts of times. -Jamie
JohnJohn
After pulling the frets a lot of people like tio fill with tinted epoxy. It will work, but if you ever change your mind reversing this can be a nightmare. Try using maple veneer to fill the slots. This will fill the slots cleanly and will make reversing the process,(if you ever decide to),a lot easier and cleaner.
