Southpa
Heres the first installment of totally guitar and music related crossword puzzles. Just download, print out and have at it but don't change the size or aspect ratio. I managed to get them to minimum file size w/out sacrificing resolution. Lets see how smart you really are! I know, I don't like the format either and you need a fine tipped pencil to fill in the squares. Anyway, if you really want to figure it out then feel free to do some research, its a learning process more than anything. All the terminology came from repair/building books, the internet and out of my OWN HEAD. Not that I've been making up words. But these puzzles are designed to make one think. http://img292.imageshack.us/img292/9470/gu...ndstuff15px.jpg A little feedback on this as well please? If there isn't any interest then I can just as easily quit along with the rest of ya. I'll get the solutions out (somehow) around this time next week. bluespresence
Great idea! I printed it and will give it a shot.....once I find a super fine tipped pencil! Maybe you could put the puzzle on one page and the questions on the other so the puzzle isn't so small.
Southpa
OK, I realize that first one was a bit hard so I made an easier one with smaller print size allowing for slightly larger squares. Toss the first one, it was just trial and error, sorry bout that. This one is more on the mark for building guitars. http://img436.imageshack.us/img436/5761/gu...lding1010gv.jpg Edited October 10, 2005 by Southpa
feylya
Oh, you broke the first rule of making crosswords. They mirror themselves diagonally ie fold a crossword in half along it's diagonal and all the white squares line up. But fair play. I'll have a go later
Southpa
This is a different kind of Xword puzzle. The other style would be near impossible to generate using ALL of the "guitar related" clues. I already tried it and got maybe a total of a dozen in out of 300 words, thats nfg. Is anybody getting anything from this? Should I continue? I've got 2 more, one dealing with historical aspects of guitars etc. the other features guitar playing terminology. I thought this would be a good way for people to learn something in this area, provided they took the time and effort to figure out the puzzle. Its all part of searching and researching folks. Oh well, I was just trying something new, they aren't really all that hard, ya know . Edited October 14, 2005 by Southpa
jer7440
I did most of the last one you posted. It was fun! I was surprised at how many of them I knew. The ones I didn't know seemed to be only a google search away, like the pot source code one.
