dayvo Posted November 24, 2005 Report Share Posted November 24, 2005 Hey guys I'm after some advice on which pups to use on my first build (a copy Les Paul) Body & Neck: Mahogany Cap: Lacewood Fingeboard: Ebony I'm leaning towards the SD SH-5 Custom(bridge) & Pearly Gates(neck) or the old faithful JB & Jazz combo What do you think? I think a 59' is usually a great choice for the neck and set of '59s would yield a pretty classic tone all the way around. I like Dimarzio hums too - i've dug both Super Distortion and Tone Zones in the bridge. Both of those might be a bit hot for the neck.
