Lord-of-the-strings
On Vai's Passion and Warfare album was he using the Evolution pickups yet? or still the PAF Pros?
jammy
PAF's methinks. But If I remeber correctly alot of that album was recorded using 7 strings, meaning they would have been blaze's

Lord-of-the-strings
ah, just got word back from DiMarzio that he used the Blaze pickups, not PAF Pros or Blaze IIs and he said the Evo neck sounds very close to the blaze neck, and Steve's Special sounds very similar to the blaze bridge. Thanks for all the help folks.
TenderSurrender
Aaah fair doos Only reason i guessed at Blaze II's is the production model of that guitar used blaze II's and i wondered if it was another "evo" as in no mods really done to it from the factory versions Glad you got it sorted dude ~~ SA ~~
