Removing A Plastic Nut

Hey,

I just wanted to remove the nut form this guitar and I just start chipping it off but now I've reached a point where the glue is jsut too strong, how should I finish off the job?

Get a small saw and cut a line down the middle of the nut then collaps the nut in on itself, there is less chance of breaking the wood from the back of the nut slot this way.

Take of the strings too. Also acetone if i remember rightly disolves CA glue. id use that to clean up the nut slot befor putting a new on in.
