mastertone007
Hey Guys Has anyone found Kent Armstrong Pickups any good? How do they line up with other with other brands? I know that i get good support from Kent himself with wiring diagrams i ask for. Like the other day i wanted one for PJ bass with 2 condenser pots and one master volume pot. He just faxed it thru to me. Anyway it would be interesting to hear your comments on this subject?
Sambo
They're alright. Nowt OTT special. Get what you pay for and all that. Plus, the hot rails rip offs get very dirty very quickly... looks like the bobbins are cardboard :s Nice.
Matt
Kent armstrongs in my opinion are excellent. they surpass SD and DM and are at like half the price. I have a high output and a Motherbucker and both are good. Read sonme of the reviews on Harmony Central and they all seem to be great! Bytrix
I love the look of these ones : http://wdmusicproducts.co.uk/Merchant2/mer...y_Code=PUHMBCKR But I haven't yet tried them myself. Considering buying two Seymours from guitarpartsresource.com next week, someone on here said if you order them seperate (and it's only $6 shipping, even to the UK) there's no import duty. So for the pair that'd work out at just under £100.
Sambo
Yeah, you can get away with it. Technically you SHOULD pay import tax, but you usually get away without it. I;ve never paid any for anything from guitar parts resource (i'm in wales)... but i can't tell you for sure you won;t have to!
thegarehanman
I put a pair of kent's PAF humbuckers in my last build. They sound great. They're crystal clear though, not exactly like a PAF, and definitely not for metal, but I like 'em a lot. I'm using their P90's in my current build.
