Dan Posted August 17, 2003 Report Share Posted August 17, 2003 I recently ( yesterday ) got a wilkinson by gotoh vs100 for my new axe. The thing is, the studs seem to be a very tight fit for the holes. I don't want to damage or split the wood, so any ideas on getting them in? Another thing is, how is a nut supposed to be inserted? Brian Posted August 17, 2003 Report Share Posted August 17, 2003 If they won't fit in properly you might have to mill the hole out a hair or two. They should always fit snug but having to pound them in hard is a no no..... Either way on the nut it should be pretty easy to press it in if the slot is the correct width and just use a small dab of glue to hold it (it doesn't need much).
