Thunderblitz Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 Ok ok... Now it becomes hot... I'm noob in the electronic section of guitars. I saw some guitars that has like circuit boards in them and some not. I dont know what to use and what to have. But I do have the specs I want on my custom and here they are: 2 humbuckers, 2 volume knobs, 1 tone knob, 3-way pickup toggle. Help me !!! lol Quote
Thunderblitz Posted February 21, 2006 Author Report Posted February 21, 2006 Do I need a circuit board ??? Where can I get one ??? I connect all the controllers and the pickups on it ??? A general question lol Quote
Nitefly SA Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 No, you don't need a cicuit board, those are preamps and usually only used with active pickups (active = require a battery) if you tell me what kind of humbuckers you are using seymour duncan,DiMarzio etc. i can get a wiring diagram for you. Southpa Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 I've taken the first step for you. Time to do some reading. Quote
Robert Irizarry Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 In addition to the advice you've gotten already, I also came across this page, Modifications and Mods by Torres Engineering which contains a number of helpful diagrams regarding tone related modifications. This is where I found a solution regarding a question I had regarding variable coil splitting. Hope this helps. Quote
