hooglebug Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 (edited) Does anyone know of a way to put a stab and comp control into a fuzz face to give the type of control used by matt bellamy with his fuzz factory? or am i just kidding myself? Edited March 11, 2006 by hooglebug Quote
Paul Marossy Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 The stab control is just a 5K variable resistor in series with the positive lead of the battery. I'm not sure how you would accomplish the comp part. I don't know that the stab control would work on a Fuzz Face, though. The Fuzz Factory appears to be designed so that it is on the very edge of oscillation, so those controls send it over the edge rather easily... Quote
hooglebug Posted March 11, 2006 Author Report Posted March 11, 2006 so im probably just dreaming then huh. Quote
lovekraft Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 The Vexter fuzz factory is less than $200 new - you'll probably spend more than that trying to homebrew one that doesn't sound as good! Just pay the man! Quote
hooglebug Posted March 11, 2006 Author Report Posted March 11, 2006 i know. i guess im just gonna have to sell a lot of stuff Quote
Paul Marossy Posted March 12, 2006 Report Posted March 12, 2006 Yeah, I agree with lk, just buy a Vexter! You'll be happy that you did. Quote
